Not well-kept.

Apr 20th, 2020

My sister and I were there to attend a wedding that weekend. Upon checking in, the room was not in the best of shape, the phone service was out and the furniture appeared to be very old and the chair's had dirt spots. On the second day when we returned back later that night....OUR BEDS HAD NOT BEEN DONE! There was a bag of garbage left at the door on the outside. The dining area was very small but that was not a big deal. Front desk service was "OK". I've stayed at many hotels in America and in Europe, this one is not on my favorite list. Room was clean

Mar 1st, 2020

Booked this hotel because I had a coupon. Honestly I was a bit scared and against my better judgement, booked a room . The price was super affordable for a one night stay. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The lady who checked me in Saturday afternoon was friendly. Rooms are outside entry. There were some garbage bags and boxes piled up on the ground floor right near the steps leading to the second floor rooms. The trash pile was still there when we left the next morning. For the most part the room was clean (noticed dust on the desk, lamp, tv stand dresser). Bathroom was clean. It appears as if they recently remodeled. The bed was pretty comfy. The two ladies at the desk Sunday morning were not as friendly. Was it 5 star? No, but it wasn’t horrible! I’d stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not worth the savings

Feb 24th, 2020

I was chaperoning a group of students to Charleston and picked this hotel due to its low price. It was not worth the savings. Pluses: The lady at the front desk was very helpful. She was able to cancel one of our rooms which we ended up not needing. When the card key for one of the rooms didn't work, she swapped out the room for another one very quickly. Minuses: There was a cold wind blowing in my room due to the fact that there was no seal around the bottom of the door. It was a cold night (30 degrees) and that cold air came right into the room. I had the thermostat set at 78 degrees and it was on all night, but it never really warmed up inside the room. Next, there were two beds in the room. One of them was passable, but the other had linens that looked unwashed. The bathtub had stray hairs in it, as if it hadn't been cleaned properly. When checking out, I had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Skunk in the woodpile

Jan 28th, 2020

Walked in the lobby door and the look on the receptionist face told it all, ‘go away’! Bad attitude until I left the counter, afraid to ask where any eating places were! Room was okay, breakfast had a little more then average for free at hotels. Checking out was a little better then checking in but still pour at best. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid the lobby in the hotels! Stinky!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

They have taken very good care of my family and I. It is the only place we like to stay.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoy the open courtyard and the pool. The ladies at the front desk are all very helpful with activities to do and places to go. very close to every thing fun. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
