Don't believe the pictures oh and no bathroom door

Mar 9th, 2018

Check in was fine but took a little while They ask for a 1000 MXN deposit for the minibar I happend to book this hotel at a deal price but I would never stay here and pay full price The room looked nothing like the pictures, there were holes in the curtains, scuffs on the walls and plain white bedding, limited furnishings but the thing that was the worst was the lack of door on the bathroom and the fact you could see the toilet from the bed! Music is played until late at night We did get free breakfast but that was in a restaurant that was a block away and breakfast was juice, fruit and breadbasket for one person even though two of us stayed at the hotel. If you leave the hotel and have to come back at night have have to ring the doorbell and who knows how long you might have to wait for someone to open the door. The reception staff are nice. Watch out for your CC charges

Feb 15th, 2018

This hotel has a friendly staff, but their business practice for mini bar charges is deceitful. There is a minibar refrigerator and a huge basket, which takes up a great deal of limited counter top space, with snacks for additional charges listed on the minibar price list, elsewhere on the counter top there was 2 small water bottles - not inside fridge or the basket and I incurred an additional charge on my credit card for these. There is no announcement on or near the bottles it’s part of the minibar menu. I paid 1,487.5 pesos for the night and had to listen to the noisy restaurant below (open late at night and early in the morning), drag luggage up and down stairs (the awful see-thru stairs that all dogs hate to use), and then on top of it I find their additional charge on my CC?! Really very cheap of this place and deceitful the way they do it. It is the first hotel/Airbnb to charge me for little water bottles that appear to be free as they are not inside minibar or that huge basket with empty space inside (plenty of space to put water bottles inside basket and the refrigerator). I’ve been traveling in this country for 4 months now and it’s the very first place to do this. I’ve reported them to my credit card company and everyone else should watch their cc after using this hotel - very shady practice. I also called hotel as I didn’t use any products in the minibar areas, but they refused to refund even after I explained. If you really must stay here bring your own toilet paper and towels so you don’t end up with additional charges on your credit card. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is more a restaurant than a hotel.

Jul 22nd, 2017

We checked in and soon discovered that just outside our widow there were tables of a restaurant. We immediatel checked out fearing the noise from the chatter and live music coming from the diners. Couldn't even open the curtains without being in full view of the guests. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Location, location, location!

The hotel has a perfect locatino if you wan to explore a more local Guadalajara. The are is safe and there is plenty of restaurants in the area. Tha only bad thing I can tell about the hotel is that the room´s floor had some nails sticking out. It is an old house and they certailny did a good job on remodeling... There is a good indoor terrace in some of the rooms. (good for smoking, if you need to). The service is good and they will try to do anything to help. Guadalajara can get pretty warm and the A/C wasn´t working 100% so the night was warm, nothing you couldn´t take. We´ll be back to this hotel. Prcing-service relationship is good. The restaurant downstairs is good! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
