Beautiful room and excellent service

Apr 10th, 2020

We arrived at the Cliffrose on Friday 4/3 (unfortunately just as the Governor had ordered all the national parks shut down) and the front desk manager (I think it was Albert?) was so wonderful in helping us find trails outside of the park as well as to-go restaurants to explore. Due to Covid, the hotel was at a very low occupancy so we were fortunate to get a bit of an upgrade. We were assigned room 123 and it did not disappoint. Beautiful views of the river and access to the fire pits where we roasted marshmallows. Overall this was a wonderful stay and we will make this out go-yo hotel for Zion in the future! Immaculate and friendly

Mar 7th, 2020

It is absolutely worth it for the suites—huge balconies with grill, big living area, 2 huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen has everything you need (except a large oven) to cook in if you want. We didn’t. The place was recently redone (‘19/‘20) and is really well designed and spotless. Very friendly staff. Breakfast at the Anthera Restaurant was delicious; highly recommend the omelettes. Excellent location right next to the park entrance. You can hear the river from your room. We’ll be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Jewel in Zion

Mar 3rd, 2020

It's located just beside the entrance of Zion National Park. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The lodge style hotel rooms are very nice and stylish. The suite I stayed is spacious, neat and clean. Breakfast is very good. I would definitely stay there if I have a chance to visit the area again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Sweet Suite

Mar 3rd, 2020

Being off season there is a good chance you won't find many restaurants open. This place has a full kitchen so you can bring your own food and prepare in the suite. We loved the location, as we could walk to food service, the park entrance as well as the race (1/2 marathon) venue and finish line. the views right outside the door are amazing and the river access is steps away as well. This was off season and it was very very peaceful. Across the Virgin River is a large campground and that may create more noise during the summer season. the river can also add a calming sound. - great views, amenities and access to Zion - TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First stay at a Curio Collection Hotel

Mar 2nd, 2020

So, I, like another recent reviewer, stayed in room 124 during February 2020. This was my first stay in a Curio Collection hotel and i understand this hotel is very new to the Hilton portfolio. I do agree with him, the parking situation is interesting to say the least, but it’s not exactly a deal breaker. Parking spots are less than 100 feet away if the 4 spots directly in front of the room are occupied. That said, he was dead on about the noise. The noise from upstairs sounds like a herd of elephants. I didn’t sleep well as a result. I’m not sure if it’s just this room, but I don’t see many other complaints about noise in these bottom-level rooms. This room is very dark, even during the day as it has the smallest window space (and patio space) on the property, along with a few maintenance issues such as the wall patch next to the patio switches is horrible with and needs to be addressed. Due to a utility closet, The room lighting is either extremely bright bare bulbs or flickering fluorescent accent lighting in behind the headboards. I could not set the thermostat at a comfortable temperature, it was either way too cold or way too hot, even adjusting by one degree. Unfortunately, the phone also doesn’t work well either until you figure out you need to unplug it and plug it in again before every call, even for calls to the front desk or within the hotel. Dimmers would be extremely welcome. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff superb. Others in the room thought the carpet looked worn, I think it was actually newer but made to look vintage. The location is ideal and the grounds and views simply stunning, probably better if the window is over two feet wide, though. The hot tub is open 24 hours and I enjoyed it greatly. I would have taken a swim, but the pool needed some cleaning, it had quite a bit of leaves either floating or sunken on the bottom. The staff at this hotel is excellent and very accommodating. I ate 3 meals at the restaurant and they were all wonderful and the restaurant staff was amazing and personable and the prices are very reasonable. Get the Clifflodge Omelet, if you have breakfast here. Do not let the front desk assign room 124 to you unless the property is completely full and you only have Blue Honors status.
