Not as great as I had hoped

Jul 9th, 2019

We've stayed across the road last year and I eyed this property and was hoping we would be in the area again to try it out. The hotel looks amazing from the outside, the pool area and atrium are simply stunning, but that is the end of it. The room seemed dated and worn, the mattress was the worst I've ever slept on in a hotel. We sat on it and both sagged in so far, that we were wondering if we are going to hit the ground. When you get back out of the sinkhole, the mattress has a huge crater, so even housekeeping should see that and report the necessity of a new mattress. The bathroom was not cleaned well, I found hair all over the place from the previous guest and some drips of who knows what on the toilet seat. I'm glad I carry disinfecting wipes with me at all times. We arrived late and by the time we had dinner and came back, I was too tired to switch rooms. We should have though, since our night was horrible. We both woke up with a sore back and we had another 8 hours of driving ahead of us. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't anything to pull us up either. The coffee was flavored water, the bread/muffins had no food tongs, so everyone was grabbing stuff with their hands, moving toast around... you get the picture! Yuck. We were also surprised to see Styrofoam plates and cups? In a time where recycling and eco-friendly should be important, this hotel doesn't even use paper plates (that is bad enough). All in all, disappointing to say the least. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loving This Place

Jun 7th, 2019

This place Is GREAT. After staying for one night, we decided (just on this hotel) to stay an additional night and spend more time in Missoula. The hotel is lots of wooden timbers, very rustic with a modern flare. The staff at both check-in night staff and the day crew were so nice and helpful. We had a room on the first floor next to a fountain waterfall. The room had both a front door which lead to the lounge fountain breakfast area, and a door which lead to the hall. Nice touch. There is outside room seating EVERYWHERE. The room is very comfortable. The TV is large and the bed was comfortable. A large refrigerator is in the room. My one compliant? The waterfall is loud. If they were to reduce the flow of water, that would reduce the noise of the falls. I love this place and would strongly recommend this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Convenient Location for Comfortable Stay

May 22nd, 2019

My husband and I stayed here for one night when traveling to our destination in southeastern Idaho. We were satisfied with the ease of making a reservation and glad to have a flexible cancellation policy in case our travel plans had changed at the last minute. We think the no smoking, no pet policy ensures cleaner smelling rooms. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We noticed that the toilet seat wasn't the cheap, thin plastic type found in so many hotels that forces you to sit on the cold ceramic toilet bowl. We did not use the swimming pool, but enjoyed having several hot tubs to choose from. Breakfast offered enough choices to accommodate almost anybody's needs and desires. There were laundry facilities readily available, although we did not need them. Our room was quiet and we slept well. The staff was very helpful and the price was right, so we plan to return to this hotel in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Vacation

May 18th, 2019

I have always wanted to stay here it's beautiful, awesome hot tubs and pool but that's about it. A really disappointing stay. When our room got cleaned they just straightened the beds up. One of the pillow cases had come off of the pillows and it was stuck down in the sheets so I know they didn't change the sheets they just made the beds up. The tub didn't get cleaned either. It's really noisy so be prepared for that. Lots of kids especially if you're staying on the weekend. So if you like your sleep and you like your privacy maybe not the place to stay. Really not happy with the room cleaning in particular. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We visit every year!

May 5th, 2019

We enjoy our yearly visit! The rooms could use updating. The tub had chips in it and was worn out but for a family with young kids the pools and common areas are great. The breakfast is good too and the staff is friendly. Our rooms have always been very clean and comfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
