Great New England experience

Dec 4th, 2019

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! It has that cool old New England vibe to it, so it's fun to stay in something historic. The rooms themselves are a bit dated as well, but I suppose that's part of the charm. It located near the beach.... don't be fooled by the pictures that it's right on it, you do have to cross the road and go through a field to get to it. The pool is fantastic though, nice and big with a great view and the water was nice and warm. I would recommend staying here... it's a little outside of the town, but walkable still. Time-Travel

The visit was like going back in time. I love history. This place has not changed in the past 100 years. The rituals are the same; the beach is the same. The menue is the same. It is good to know, that there are things that don not chane. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous, Historic Hotel!

Oct 14th, 2019

Unfortunately we only had one night at this truly beautiful hotel. Wish we had had more. Can’t begin to describe the opulence & visual delights. The service could not have been better & all the staff were so friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Lovely plate ware, fabulous food in a delightful & serene setting. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great view, after upgrade!

Oct 14th, 2019

The hotel is a very old building, so if you don't really like old houses, it would be nothing to stay in. But we liked it and it didn't bother us to hear everyone outside of our room! We booked online and by arriving they told us, that we stay in a house nearby and asked if we would like to upgrade (which costs 50 USD more). The price is quite hight but the room had a fabulous view over the cost, so it was worth it. The garden and the pool area is very nice, and we could play with the kids outside, very good idea to provide games! The breakfast was very good, for everybody something! The fruits were excellent. Excellent Water Views From Balcony

Oct 7th, 2019

We arrived on 10 June of this year for three nights. The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included in our package and was superb. Serving staff was congenial and attentive. Our room was one of two with a balcony that overlooked the water...what beautiful views. The heated saltwater outdoor pool was clean and most relaxing. It was a short walk from the hotel to casual restaurants. The lobster rolls were out of this world! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
