business visit and what it was, a grat place for short term visits

very nice visit, no restaurant to speak of had to go outside for a full menu, very clean and people very friendly, when needed anything very prompt to please the customer. the rooms are very clean and a pleasure to sleep. Very quiet during the night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice hotel location

Great location near Columbus Airport. The rooms are nice and are very well maintained by the housekeeping staff. I was surprised by the comfort of the bed and it also had a nice TV. I would recommend this hotel to all business travelers. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Pleasant stay but awful wifi

I stayed here for two nights for a conference being held at the hotel and had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only concerns I had were the $10 per day parking fee (for a parking lot that was nearly empty) and the terrible (SLOW) WiFi connection. Even though I had to pay for the WiFi, I ended up using my phone as a hotspot because it was so slow and spotty. Other than that, it was pleasant and I plan to stay again for the next conference. On Christmas Eve when my flight was diverted to Columbus, a friend and I found ourselves unexpectedly spending the night at this hotel. Before we arrived, as it was a holiday, we inquired about the restaurant hours and were told it would close at 8:00 PM. We arrived tired and hungry at 7:45 to a warm welcome from the women working at the front desk. When we expressed some concern that the restaurant would close before we finished checking in, we were assured that the the restaurant staff had been alerted that we were on our way and would not close before we got there. After dinner (which was quite good) we asked the person at the front desk to order a taxi for next morning (Christmas Day) to arrive at 6:00 AM to go back to the airport. We are not able to use vans or SUVs and so we couldn’t use the hotel’s airport shuttle. The next morning I checked with Lee who was working at the front desk and he confirmed the taxi had been ordered but had not arrived. Lee and the other staff at the hotel went out of their way to help us find transportation to the airport. The cab company was called numerous times as was Uber. It was really quite remarkable how helpful every employee we came in contact was. Lee, I wrote down your last name to name you specifically, but auto correct on my phone mangled it. You know who you are and I can’t thank you enough. Marriott, you have remarkable employees who made airline problems and an unexpected overnight in Columbus less difficult. This was not how I would have chosen to spent Christmas Eve but the staff at Marriott (who, I am sure, would have also preferred to be with their families) made it easier. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Irritating Place to Stay

First we were told at check-in that we shouldn’t use TripAdvisor to make reservations, only to reserve through Marriott if we wanted to get the reservation right. Next we were told we would have to pay $10/day go park in their empty parking lot, Last they put us in a room that was as far from check-in as possible even though the hotel was obviously empty, I am disabled and this was a very difficult walk in a large conference hotel. I would not stay here again, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
