Don't do it, you will regret it

Jan 2nd, 2021

My flight changed while I was in Cancun so I needed to stay by the airport for an early AM flight. I booked a room at this hotel. I should have known better when my Taxi driver said, are you sure you want to stay here? We only needed the hotel for 6 hours and I booked it because of the free airport shuttle advertised on every site you find this hotel. He started off by charging me extra for my kids. Priceline, for whatever reason doesn't ask and always just books for 2 adults. I then asked for the airport transfers at 330am and he said, they don't do that. I had to figure it out on my own late on Christmas Eve. None of us felt safe or secure at this hotel. The shower enclosure was broken. Then shower head was rusted out and dysfunctional. The TV was broken and would not turn on. I reported it all to the front desk and they shrugged their shoulders like "what do you want?" They made no effort to fix things. They posted a promise of satisfaction, but don't really care about it. I called Choice hotels, the parent company and they reported it to the hotel so they could resolve it. The hotel management never even responded. Don't do it. I know it looks inexpensive and close to the airport. Its not worth it. Look elsewhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Avoid at all costs

Dec 5th, 2020

We had a one night stay in Cancun and decided to stay at the Comfort Inn given it was close to the airport and had a complimentary shuttle. We arrived at the hotel without a reservation and were greeted by this lovely lady working in the front desk. With a horrible attitude she told us that there were no rooms available. So I sat down in the lobby chair, to use my phone and find a different hotel nearby. She asked us to leave the property since we were not staying at the hotel. So we left the front lobby and staying in front of the door waiting for the uber to arrive. She came outside again screaming and pointing her finger at us asking us to completely leave the property and threatening to call the police. As a side note the hotel is in a highway. There was absolutely no reason for that as we were simply waiting for the uber with our luggage outside of the lobby. I have filled a complaint to comfort inn but have not heard back yet. Don't stay unless you like risks

Just left this place, which was chosen as a location to stay near the airport because of canceled flight back to Dallas, Tx. If this hotel was located in America it would have been condemned. Walked in with water all over the floor at the front desk, because they had some kind of weird netting as the front door which you climb through to get inside. Also chosen for their ability to use shuttle to and from this location to the airport. This is not true information. They will pick you up, but will not return you they will book another shuttle at a high fee to take you back. First room that we arrived to was flooded to the point it could not be stayed in, yet they sent us to this room upon arrival. I was already about to leave at that point, gave us another room, theres no hot water to speak of. Later into the late night around midnight after we made the decision to stay in this $hit hole, regardless of no place to get food from near unless you like eating from a gas station. a drunk couple (or maybe not a couple but possibly just paid for sex), came into the room next to ours, drunk and loud then proceeded to have sex. The walls are paper thin. You will hear every single yell, or breath anyone takes. After i couldn't take it anymore we packed up and left. We ran into i feel an angel into the shuttle we summoned to take us anywhere but there. He was a local and was kind and shared with us to stay at the IBis hotel in downtown cancun, 20 minutes from the airport. Please save yourself even 10 bucks for a room at this Comfort Inn. It is a terrible, pay by the hour location that im pretty sure men bring prostitutes to. Save yourself! The second story also had some flooding as well. I hope to save at least one person or more from going here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This has been the scariest and most aggravating hotel stay. We called prior to booking to confirm shuttle service was included. A female answered and said yes. We went ahead and booked our hotel stay. The moment we called to have shuttle pick us up, the gentleman who answered said that there was a cost. I couldnt complete my first name and he already said there was a cost. When I explained etc. he negotiated and said best he can do is pick us up at airport but to drop us off there would be n 800 pesos charge. When we arrived to check in, the front desk the lights were flickering, the AC wasn't working, it was so hot and hotel was filthy. There was a very yellow and dirty soap box for the shoes which they want you to rinse your soles. When checking in The Front Desk rep wanted to charge us extra although the occupancy was for 4 people. I know COVID19 has hit Cancun and the hotel industry hard with very little business if any in previous months, but the desperation of these individuals was incredible. We refused to stay here and left to another hotel. I very seldom leave reviews but I didnt want anyone else going through this. DO NOT STAY HERE>< IF you do, be prepared to get sick, discusted and aggreviated with penny-pinching schemes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible service, scammers and unsanitary! Avoid at ALL costs!

My family and I had called to make sure they had free shuttle service to the airport and they said yes. We were two families together, one with four people and the other with two so six in total. We called again just to make sure we would have access to the shuttle, what the lady first said when we asked for the shuttle was “oh man, that’s a lot of people.” When it was only six and we had rented TWO rooms for everyone. We figured it was fine and we were able to get a shuttle from the grand moon palace because we were staying there before, once we arrived to the comfort inn, the service was TERRIBLE, the young lady was incredibly disrespectful and raised her voice at my husband and I. When we got there to get our rooms, they wanted to charge extra because we were “too many people” according to her. She also proceeded to tell us that we would not have access to the shuttle even though on the website we booked the hotel at said we would. After all of that dilemma, she said that if she saw a form of identification, she would be able to get in the kids for free and only charge for the adults, there was three adults and three kids, we showed her our passports and she said she was going to go take a copy but then we said no, if she had already seen the passport, there was no reason for her to take a copy. God knows what she could’ve done! She could’ve sold information or so much worse! The hotel not only had terrible service and sketchy workers, but it was so dirty! The counters were dusty and there was literal mold in the corners, they had ONE small bottle of hand sanitizer in the entrance and that was all, you can tell they did not keep up with the work AT ALL, the lights outside were flickering, it was just terrible. After almost an hour of trying to get our rooms and sleep, we decided to book with Fairfield by Marriot, so much better by the way! Moral of the story, DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
