Property looks Tired and in Need of Updating - Close to the Downtown Area

Aug 9th, 2019

On recent business trip, the location was good and while expensive for a Comfort Inn, relatively easy to the Downtown area. Traffic during peak times is heavy and access into and out of the hotel can be challenging. Breakfast is offered but just OK, even though there is an attendant who will custom prepare an omelet. Facility looks worn and for the price could use a make-over. Direct TV in the room and it had plethora of channel options. Small Refrigerator that holds very little. Lighting inside the room was just so-so. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Across the street from mid-town bars

Aug 7th, 2019

This appears to be a family run operation and they do a good job with an aging facility. First, it is a motel (with the doors facing outside instead of inside an indoor hallway), not a hotel. We stayed on a Friday night, so the price may have been higher than a weekday; but, I still feel the price is too high for the quality of the room we got. We decided to pay the extra to avoid having to stay somewhere further away from mid-town and downtown and pay for parking, which is included in your stay as they have their own parking lot. Both mid-town and downtown are within walking distance, which is what we were looking for. The room smelled musty and was humid, there was a gap in the door which kept it difficult to keep the room cool enough and the bugs out, the baseboard in the bathroom was pulled away from the wall and the wall in that area looked like it had warped drywall, like maybe it had previous water damage that was painted over. On a positive note, the room and bathroom were both very clean, the showerhead and tub faucet in good working order, the mattress was very comfortable, and we had plenty of pillows. I'm undecided if we would stay again, Cost would play a part in our decision. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just ok. We won't be back.

The room was small, and the tub and toilet area just plain out too small. The room was clean but smelled of bug spray and was humid feeling. Replace the bed quick before it falls in. Breakfast was good but not good enough. Good location, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Area too crowded and loud being right next to the interstate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This motel was perfect.

Jul 24th, 2019

Our room was excellent. Very, very comfortable mattresses; bedding was all white and perfectly clean (how any budget motels have you stayed in with dark comforters, etc. where you kind of wonder how clean they are.) Carpets were fresh, not threadbare or stained. Lighting was bright, lamp shades clean (how many budget motels have you stayed in with one or two lamps, with 40 watt bulbs?) AC was responsive and (important) quiet. Refrigerator was a large compact, kept things cold, and no stains or smells. Wifi quick and reliable. Towels, etc., clean, fluffy and plenty of them, In-room coffee maker, but walked down to the lobby for the keurig-like coffee machine: strong, hot, delicious coffee 24/7. Also, complimentary water bottles, and (for real) fresh fruit (apples, oranges and banannas), Didn't use it, but the pool area was spotless, water crystal clear. Overall, the grounds were incredibly clean and well maintained. No cigarette buts, gum wrappers, etc. The big plus was breakfast. Real eggs for scrambled eggs; omelets made to order, meat if you want it, all manner of bagels & pastries. All fresh, all replenished constantly during the rush hour in the AM by two folks working the counters. And, last but definitely not least, every one we encountered at the desk over two days was on task, sincerely friendly: couldn't ask for more. I selected this because it was a stone's throw from the airport (8 miles) at the juncture of two of the major interstates, and a few miles from Belmont & Vanderbilt. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One night stay

Jul 24th, 2019

We stayed one night as we were passing through town. I stayed here a few years back and happy with the addition for breakfast area on 3rd floor. Breakfast was good - had an omelet bar and normal breakfast buffet options. Rooms are small and older but for price it worked for us. Comfort Inn was at top of hill so it’s a good work out to walk up and down hill to downtown. We found a golf cart tour that picked us up outside the hotel. $15 for 30 min and Robbie was a good tour guide. After tour he gave a ride to downtown so we didn’t have to walk. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
