Fantastic weekend in Madison
Nov 19th, 2019
This hotel was not fancy but it made all our needs. They had a great continental breakfast which was definitely handy. There was a lot of other places around to eat and shop and that was cool but most times when you visit Madison it's about the university and it's pretty far from there. Most importantly the staff was extremely helpful there. I lost a contact down the drain and ask the front desk if they had a ranch I could use to disassemble the drain and then reassemble it. They connected me with a man named Sofet who was extremely helpful and personable and helping me retrieve this contact he spent about 45 minutes getting me this back and did not complain he was very hard-working and had a wonderful disposition I think Sofet very much and the staff of this hotel I would recommend to anybody! Go Badgers Go

We arrived too early for check in but staff held our luggage for us and we drove into downtown Madison to park the car and get to the game After the game drove back and got checked in to our room very smoothly. What impressed me the most was the Front Desk Manager(Judy or July) the GPS seemed to send us the long way back and we were hungry by this time it was dark and rainy I asked is it easy to get over to the Cracker Barrel as the was a lot of main roads around and Judy said get yourself settled and we will get our driver take you over and pick you up how good was that. So thanks for a great stay and hope to be back again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great shuttle service, somewhat dingy room
Oct 20th, 2019
This is a pretty 'average' chain hotel with the exception of having very good airport shuttle service. Madison is odd in that these hotels are not especially close to the airport but clustered near a mall and collection of chain-type restaurants. The room was very brown, the carpet worn, chinks in woodwork of doors and doorjams, and there was little artwork. HOwever, as it was in the tower- very convenient to the breakfast area, exercise room, and lobby/check-in. It was a long walk to the pool and hot tub, which are at the end of a separate long extension of the 'tower' building. Pillows were all the same, and filled with something like small bits of foam which allowed you to bunch them up if desired, The breakfast was good and included hot food, but used 100% single-use disposable utensils and plates, etc. While there is no bar or restaurant the front desk sells wine and beer and there are some snacks for saie. They also said the shuttle could take a person to one of the nearby chain restaurants if desired; the walk - while <0.5 mile, would involve crossing very major multi-lane roads. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
I do not recommend
Sep 22nd, 2019
I have stayed at this hotel twice recently. The first stay, was unpleasant but I dealt with it. Neither of the 2 front desk employees showed any exceptional customer service. I received no smiles and obvious looks on their faces that they were not wanting to answer any of my questions I was asking about my bill. I paid to sleep and park my car while on vacation. I did not realize the way I paid only covered 7 nights. No big deal I was okay with that. They charged me an extra $20 for 4 extra nights when it should have only been $15 for 3 extra nights. I did not realize it at first so I called down later to mention it in hopes they would be apologetic and refund the cost. When I called down the girl was INCREDIBLY rude and tried blaming the error on me. I even counted the nights to her because clearly she could not count. I asked to speak with a manager and all she had to say was that the manager said to charge me the $20 as well. I kept pressing to speak with someone else because I could not handle her attitude when I was being very nice until I had had it. The next person finally understood what I was saying and fixed the error. The next night I stayed, when coming back from vacation, was even worse. I did not want to stay a second night but I already had the reservation and the car was already at the hotel. Juan was so nice and helpful at the front desk. We got into our room and it was SO filthy. Every surface in the room has something nasty on it. The comforter was several decent sized blood spots on it and I called down to ask for another, which I got. The bathroom had hairs and the tub area had food on the floor. That room was NOT cleaned and it was so gross sleeping in it. I left a review to which the GM responded. I was happy I got a response but when I emailed her back to explain my second night, I get no response. I told her that both of my stays were unacceptable and I wanted a refund. I advised I would hold out on my honest reviews if she would refund my money and I would give them another chance. I have her a week and no response. I used to work in hotels in all departments and I know what is acceptable and not acceptable. I will post my reviews on every website I can. This hotel is disgusting and for the most part horrible customer service. I will never be at this hotel again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
