Not a great experience

We have been Hilton members for years and only stay at Hilton’s. This weekend we decided to spend a night at this hotel and unfortunately it was not a good experience. The staff at the front desk were very nice but aside from that it was bad. The main issue with the stay was the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Now more than ever people are really paying attention to cleanliness and hygiene. When we arrive to our room the Lysol sticker was on the door identifying it was clean. Unfortunately when we walked in you could see that it was not cleaned well at all. The counter was visibly dirty along with the appliances. When we opened the fridge in the room there was a wine bottle that was half empty. There was trash wrappers on the furniture where the TV was on. Inside the bathroom the vents were filthy along with hair on the floor. We’re not ones to complain but cleanliness is important, especially in the hotel industry. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dirty, not following COVID masking, rude staff

2 night stay in August, 2020 when governor had mandatory mask order. Despite signs on front door, staff were NOT masked and allow hotel guests in lobby and small elevators without masks. Room was dated and dirty. When manager on duty observed at desk not wearing mask was approached about masks, manager was hostile and defensive. Do NOT stay here. Very disappointing that national chain (Hilton) cannot do better TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I wasn’t expecting this experience at all or ever given 1 star but this stay wasn’t one or two procedural slip ups, it was lack of carin throughout. 1. I No one at guest services for check in. She popped of her FaceTime call and appeared from a breakfast nook. I thought, “ok, it’s slow, so alright”. Found the reservation on 3rd try. Did not explain any amenities, mention breakfast, or location of room, or give the complimentary water for a Hilton Diamond member. She did go back to FaceTime before we were on the elevator! The third floor carpet was brightly colored but you’re met with a large bleached stain off the elevator (ok something spilled) to bleached spots and what appeared to be bleached shoe prints throughout the hall (ok someone doesn’t care). After a shower I found just 2 finger towels to dry off. We started hearing housekeeping quite loudly at 7:30/8a. They were apparently trying to move us along. At 8:45 one of two housekeepers said “they’re not out? Well knock again!” I’ve never had such poor service at any property. Times are tough for everyone but I feel like I should have been paid to stay there instead of paying for the stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible service

This is the second time we stayed here. The first was great but that was before Covid 19. The staff was good and the place was clean. Breakfast was okay. This time, noone was wearing a mask and if they had one on it was below there chin. When I asked if they could pull up there masks, I was told no or the only person who even tried, rolled their eyes at me and put it underneath their nose. Our room had a cabinet door that wouldn't close and another one that was broken. Our bathroom door wouldn't shut. There was no breakfast but we understood that because of Covid 19. When we got into the room, I cleaned it myself because I didn't trust that it was cleaned properly. We stayed for 3 nights and there was bags of garbage in the hallway the whole time. There was also garbage in the elevator for 2 days. When we told the staff how we felt, they could have cared less. My son is a freshman at Eastern University and we will be staying in town atleast 2 or 3 times a year for the next 4 years. We will NEVER stay in this hotel again. You can tell a good business not by how they are when everything is good but by how they respond to errors. The staff here showed no interest or concern to rectify anything and could have cared less for our safety. I'm just happy that we didn't get sick staying there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Home2 Suites is an average hotel in King of Prussia. The parking lot is smaller than expected, but seemed big enough to accommodate all of the guests' cars. Upon walking up to the entrance, I noticed that the trashcan directly outside of the building was overflowing. The lobby was small and not very clean. The table used for the credit card machine and, I assume, to keep a decent distance between guests and the one staff member on duty was filthy. Meanwhile, there are signs all over the place touting that cleanliness in the time of COVID-19 is the hotel's top priority. The staff member was friendly and provided a wealth of information that was hard to understand; partially due to her mask, but also because she talked extremely fast. We were told that housekeeping would not be cleaning the rooms and that guests are to set out their trash to be picked up every morning. If there was an emergency situation in which we needed something cleaned or extra towels, we were instructed to call down to the front desk. Breakfast, which is included in the price of the room, was to be available each morning and we were told due to COVID that it would consist of individually wrapped muffins. I was surprised when I and my traveling companion came downstairs the next morning (within the breakfast time frame) and saw a case of bottled water sitting out and empty bowls where the muffins...were? We went out to find breakfast and upon returning, noticed that the water was also gone with not intention to replenish it (we just had to pull it out of a case you buy at the store). I guess there were only 24 bottles of water and a box of muffins available for the entire hotel. On our second morning, there was no water and an empty box of muffins. The hotel should just eliminate the "breakfast" altogether and make the room prices a few dollars cheaper. The elevator floors were sticky and needed to be swept. I was afraid to touch anything. The one upside was the room. It was clean and comfortable. The temperature was set at an appropriate temperature and everything worked as it was supposed to. The hotel is also close to plenty of restaurants and the King of Prussia Mall, which is convenient. Even though the room was perfectly fine, I would not recommend this hotel. I will definitely try out one of the many other hotels in the area on my next visit. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
