Typical Middle Class "Resort"

A bit dingy and dated. About what you would expect for the price level. Had a stay booked for me here for a conference that I was not consulted about. I eventualy checked out early to move to a hotel downtown. Might be good for families or those who don't travel often. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great getaway for weekend

Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful view of Coronado bridge and bay. Clean and tidy rooms. Nice area’s to sit outside for Breakfast or dinner. Great area to walk around. Not far from Coronado restaurants and not far from the beach and Del Coronado Hotel. Great choice of restaurants!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

THE Place to Stay in San Diego

This Marriott Resort is one that will capture your memory. It is easy to get to from the San Diego Airport. It located on the bay with outstanding views of the city. It is an easy drive to any spot in San Diego even a bit north to La Jolla and along the coast to southern L.A. The boardwalk (cement) around Coronado is just off your porch. The ferry to downtown San Diego is easy walking distance on the ‘cement’ walk. There is a series of restaurants and shops near there. Other sites on Coronado are easily drivable. Bad hotel and bad Marriott Elite customer service

After I deleted a review I wrote during my vacation there, because I gave them ( the hotel and Marriott Platinum elite customer service ) a final chance , now I’m going wo wrote everything I had and why I won’t ever book a hotel that is part of Marriott group. We ( my wife and I and out 2 kids) booked a stay from October 19-22. We actually arrived at the 20th since we had a bad delay, and we paid for the first night in full even if we didn’t stay. It’s ok it’s not the hotel fault. The hotel looks totally different than the photos: what you see is all photoshop. Maybe at night the pool area looks nice - but the hotel is not even 2 stars. It felt like a motel. The location in Coronado island is in the worse location - no beach, so if you’re looking for a really good hotel in the best location in Coronado - go to Hotel Del Coronado. We got our room key and went up to the room ; Coronado island Marriott resort was pretty dirty in the hall way - we said ok... We got to the room and we had a really strong bad smell like pest control. Then, in the bath shower we had hair (!). A day after nobody came to clean our room and it was 2PM. With two little babies it’s very hard. I couldn't stay there and when I called customer relation of Marriott Elite customer service they said I should stay there and between 3-5 business days somebody will call me. But I can talk to the hotel manager. Once I lost a review here, before I deleted it, ‘Jonathan L’ the hotel manager said he really sorry for my feeling and that I can contact him. There’s no way to reply to a post here, so I went to the front seat and asked for him - he wasn’t there, Hana was the manager at that time. She offered me 10K points and I said I won’t accept it - I’m waiting for my full refund in points and the money I paid for this stay. And she said that the hotel policy is to clean the rooms up to 3pm or 4 pm. And I’m the one who should know it in advance and I could ask in advance to clean the room earlier. I never seen any hotel clean the room that late !!! Also, the food in room dining was horrible - we ordered 2 desserts and one of them, the creme brûlée was expired - it has a bad texture and pieces inside. We were tired to complain so we didn’t even ask to change or cancel the order and we paid in full for it. Not the mention that it was so hot all this week in San Diego, and nobody mention that the pool restaurant and drink service is closed because it’s ‘ off season’. So even in the pool it’s boring. Nobody contact me since then from the Elite customer service or customer relations. This is the last time I’m going to stay in Marriott and I’m going to close my Chase Ritz Carlton credit card as well. Room 379, Oct 19-22. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not As Advertised

The hotel rooms look nothing like the website. I am a marriot titantium elite member. checked into this "motel" and left. and remember...if you don't cancel 72 hours prior...u still pay...even when you check into another marriot property. shame on you marriot. Used to be loyal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
