Fantastic Location and great rooms

Our Room was the perfect location. We had a river view with a balcony and i would definitely suggest just paying the extra and getting that. We had 5th floor too which made it even better. Hotel is very nice and cute roof top bar. Room is clean and nice with a touch of history. I would definitely suggest this hotel. Loved it and the staff was super helpful and nice! My new favorite hotel in Savannah

I really like this hotel. Great location on the river. Beautiful, comfortable and clean. Very nice staff from cleaning crew, front desk and Matt the Valet operator. Parking is about $30 a day and they park your car across the street in a parking garage. You may save a bit of you drop someone and your things then park yourself as it’s a quick walk. The balconies are super small but enjoyable, especially if the saxophone player is out there at night. Need to get down and give him a tip As he is a street player. My only problem with this hotel is the noise from above. Have stayed here twice, once on the 5th floor balcony room and heard a lot of noise from Top Deck restaurant above, today I am staying in 3rd floor and there is a kid running back and forth for hours now and I hear every step and squeal. Maybe ask for a quite spot if you need rest. I have never had a problem sleeping here with noise and beds are more comfortable than the Hampton Inn and homewood suites down the street. Fav restaurants close are Treylor Park and Pink House. Last photo is view from Rooftop bar. Snacks and drinks are good but have dinner somewhere else as there are so many amazing spots in Savannah. comfortable hotel, very little parking

I enjoyed my recent stay at The Cotton Sail, the room was comfortable with nice tall ceilings and nice luxury bathroom. The hotel is right on the river and it's neat to see the big ships going by. The hotel is also within walking distance of pretty much everything. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room and parking was very tight...if the hotel had been any busier there definitely wouldn't have been any parking. Overall it was a nice stay and I would come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Warning, Please Read: Lack of Security, A Stressful Experience

Please read. Health and security concerns. 1. Attempted fraud: Around 10pm on Monday night we received a call from a man claiming to work for the hotel and attempting to get our personal information and credit card details because "the hotel system had gone down and wiped guest information." I'll spare you the whole story, but essentially this was a fraudster that was transferred directly to our room after only identifying himself as being "a family member of the guests in room 314." Good thing we were on guard. We went to the front desk immediately after the call to confirm that we had been called by a criminal. 2. Valet security issue: We were handed the keys to our car by the valet after only being asked "Is this your car?" No name requested, no ticket requested. 3. Chewing gum on the car: See photo. Once we got back into the car we disgustingly discovered that one of the valets had left gum on the lever behind the steering wheel *Gum.* Eww. As if the lack of health concerns at the hotel weren't enough (see point 4), we now had this to clean up. (This could be considered assault given Covid pandemic right now, but we'll move on). 4. Lack of PPE: Hotel staff - including most valets and housekeeping services - were not wearing masks (properly or at all) or gloves. They claimed to have stopped breakfast service and housekeeping during your stay in an attempt to support health and safety of guests, but clearly this was only being done for them to save money. 5. What a view: See attached photo. This is advertised as a "city view" room. I get it, you aren't on the water, but this room is staring directly out at a dumpster and a spot for the staff to take outdoor smoke breaks. We had to leave the curtains shut literally the entire stay for privacy. 6. Noise issue: There was routine stomping on the ceiling of our room throughout the night. We later discovered that our room was under the floor with the front desk. The redeeming qualities are that the rooms are clean and nice, it is otherwise a nice hotel and it is a shame that we had such a bad experience. The hotel seemed to be decent, otherwise. The manager of the hotel refunded us half of the cost of our stay when we complained about these multiple problems. Which was the right thing to do. Most staff were friendly and the outdoor lounge areas in front of the hotel are nice to sit outside in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hello- I try to write fair and honest reviews and try to take all circumstances (COVID-19) into consideration. With that said, I found this hotel to be quite disappointing. We booked due to location and our impression this would be the nicest Hilton brand hotel in Savannah. Location was certainly good enough but everything else was pretty average or even below average. My first issue is the price of parking. $30/day valet only. The valet literally moved my car about 10 total feet to a nearby space. No real value there. Secondly, upon checkin, there was no mention of my Diamond status or the note I wrote in the reservation about celebrating my 10th anniversary. They showed zero desire to do anything extra. Breakfast wasn’t available due to COVID 19 but the hotel offered nothing in return. No pre packaged muffins. Nothing. And no points or vouchers to make up for it. The room had a terrible view. The floors were sticky when we stepped in. The AC was leaking moisture. We requested to move rooms every day but were denied. We overheard the maid service loudly complaining and using vulgar language multiple time “they are getting on my **** nerves” and “I’m tired of this ******* sand on the floor.” It was loud and obnoxious. When we went to check out I planned to bring up all these issues. However there was nobody at the front desk. The valet ended up checking us out. Looked the the front desk clerk was outside talking on his cell and smoking a cig. Not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
