Always a good property; now better belonging to Radison Family.

Dec 31st, 2020

Have stay in this property at least five times while Carlson hotel. Radison has purchased and made many improvements to property. We were very impressed with renovated rooms. Price was very reasonable. Rooms very clean. Staff very responsive to needs. We will go back while visiting Chattanooga. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Would not stay here ahain

Dec 17th, 2020

The front desk was nice. Easy check in and check out. Bathroom was filthy. Bathroom door was broken. The closet door was fixing to fall down. The coffee pod didn't fit in the coffee maker. No sheets or pillows for the pull out bed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ok, good price, reasonably clean, pet friendly

Dec 10th, 2020

Single overnight stop on drive southbound with a pet (dog). Check-in no one at desk, waited, walked around until market area tripped a bell. Staff not wearing mask, they have a partial plastic wall. Most guests not wearing masks, even though signage indicates required. Back and side doors apparently do not work (back is where pet area located), not a big deal but lends to poor maintenance. Only saw 1 or 2 out of 5 staff members seen wearing a mask. Big party of guests drinkers and smokers hanging outside partially into entry way going in and out-no masks. Noisy from road traffic and someone yelling a conversation in hallway at 6am. Funny that when you have a dog you have to sign a form that you're responsible for potential compensation to other guests if disturbed, why does that not also apply to humans? I don't think I've ever been disturbed by someone's pet, but loud adults and children who are fully controllable with words are not financially liable to behave?? This is not unique to this hotel, just pointing out the hypocrisy, no one wants to be distributed either way. Parking is limited, warning if you're towing, unless they have a second lot somewhere. Room was ok, cleanliness on par with 2.5-3⭐ hotel, bed ok, room large, vinyl floors, maintenance a little lacking, but have seen much worse. Breakfast in to go bags, included prepackaged processed foods (nothing healthy in my opinion): chocolate muffin, protein bar, fruit cup, mini water bottle. I would have traded all for a piece of actual fruit. Appreciate the effort and sentiment, just not food for me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location. Not Run Well.

Nov 2nd, 2020

I feel so torn in writing this review. This place is in an excellent location, with beautiful views. Food places, gas stations, and a Walmart are within walking distance. You are about 15 minutes from Ruby Falls or Chattanooga downtown below. But the place is not run well. The room was not clean. There were dust and dirt and crumbs between and within the furniture. Luckily the bedding seemed clean. Not freshly washed and tight, but clean. I hope. The grounds were NEVER clean. There were cigarette butts everywhere. By the end of our stay, there were maybe a hundred butts in one small area of the parking lot. Gross! You step on them, track them into your cars, etc. Just gross. Somebody spilled a big wad of nacho cheese directly in front of the hotel entrance. Nobody cleaned it! It was still there when we left four days afterward! People had been stepping in it! How many people's days were ruined because the hotel staff are lazy? Just gross. There was a beautiful firepit seating area in front of the hotel, but there was garbage thrown about it. WTF? The staff were always taking smoke breaks, right in front of the nacho cheese and the garbage in the firepit. NOBODY cleaned anything. The lighting in the room was terrible. The beds were lumpy and old and uneven. The coffee pot was filthy. The included breakfast is literally a bottle of water, an orange, and a Lucky Charms snack bar. WTF? This place is not run by people who love the hotel or care about the guests. It's a real shame. This hotel could be a shining light in that area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous Find!

Oct 25th, 2020

We arrived in Lookout Mountain on September 4, 2020. After having a very bad experience at a nearby local hotel on Brown's Ferry Road, where we were treated so much better by the staff at Country Inns and Suites! The desk clerk quickly found us a room and we were informed that the pet fee was $25 for however long we were going to stay. We immediately added another day to our trip. We went up to the room and it was wonderful. Not only clean but bright and sunny. A total flip to the other hotel and staff. For the four nights we stayed, all the staff we came into contact was so nice and helpful. The cleaning staff was great! If you plan a trip to Lookout Mountain, do yourself a favor and check out this hotel. I don't think you could possibly be disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
