No Masks, slow wifi, overheated, CLOGGED TOILET
Oct 30th, 2020
Unfortunately, we did not have a relaxing stay at this hotel. • Two front desk staff (man & woman) not wearing masks (despite signs in the hotel) and talking around plexiglass to check us in. • Front desk staff did not provide Wi-Fi connection information upon check in • After I called to get it Wi-Fi only works at .9mb download, not fast enough do much work. Don't advertise Wi-Fi in 2020 if you don't have enough broadband access for your business. • Half of laminated channel guide missing from room • Heater in room set to 63 degrees feels like 72, we turn it off while we are out, room gets cold, turn it on to 70 degrees and it gets way hotter than 70 degrees it needs to be calibrated. • Toilet clogged on #1 in the middle of the night Biggest problem that put me over the edge • 6:30 in the morning when I asked the front desk lady (not wearing a mask)for a plunger and towels to clean up said there is only one plunger for the whole hotel. Offered to bring me a mop and bucket, but she couldn't come into room and clean it up. • I worked for half an hour with a plunger to get toilet to drain, not really a flush. I can see this is going to be a problem, but good enough for now. I report this to front desk that there is still a problem and I still need towels. She hands me one (1) towel and a wash rag and says that's all she has or can do. • I tell her to place the room on report for a maintenance person to look at and she says there has a been a problem with Fort Dodge plumbing for two years. I explain to her this is a drain line issue. She says there is nothing anyone can do and claims it doesn't happen too often. So I guess I need to leave a review to warn others. Oct 1st, 2020
My room was just a little dirty and when I went to check in, it took a little long. The pool was closed which I wasn't expecting so I was a little bummed when we got there and it was closed for have some sort of chemical problem. It just wasn't the great experience I was expecting. Air conditioning didn’t work, phone didn’t work, remote batteries were dead we requested 2 times ended up buying our own batteries, moved rooms due to air not working room was a smoking room, but was posted was non smoking. Breakfast was decent considering the COVID issues. Upon arrival staff was sitting in back watching tv, had to ring bell 🛎 two times before she casually walked up. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It was a nice looking hotel/motel But beds were lumpy and very uncomfortable There was bugs in our room and in the pool. There was Ali no hot water even if it was all the way high So we only had cold water barley even warm. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel was well kept aside from a couple minor issue - only concern was wish the staff had taken additional precautions to put into play the CDC COVID guidance - the front desk did not wear masks nor was there any additional sanitizing stations TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
