Surprisingly bad and not covid compliant
Apr 11th, 2021
As very experienced travelers, we saw the high rating and booked it immediately, figuring it would be wonderful! Not the case at all. Where do I start? First, we came around 9 pm at night to check-in and the woman at the front desk was under the influence. She was slurring her words, eyes rolling back in her head, and she was telling us a story about how she punched a guy in the face at the bar (i wish i was kidding!) and how she really doesn't like her job here. We were so taken aback. Had it not been 9pm and we hadn't just been on the road since dawn we would have just left. It was extremely sketchy and not something I expected. I felt like we were in the twilight zone and we had just walked into some 'by-the-hour' kind of place. (should I even mention she only had a mask around her chin, or does that really matter at this point?) Secondly: Once in the room, we saw that it might have once been a really nice suite, but now was tatterted, soiled and stained. Between the credenza that holds the mini fridge and the wall there was so much dust, garbage and lint, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The desk chair had crumbs all over it, showing the room had NOT been properly sanitized or cleaned between guests. The bright side: Thankfully the sheets were clean so we didn't have to fear actually sleeping. For the price we paid (over $150 USD) the cleanliness and service was more fitting to a $50 roadside motel. It was not up to any kind of standards, especially for the price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not Covid Compliant

I’ll start off by stating the thing I was most upset about. This hotel is NOT Covid safe. Despite having a sign on the door to the hotel that masks are required, I saw no one (including staff) actually wearing their mask over their nose & mouth. When we arrived, we waited at the front desk for about 10 minutes before anyone greeted us. When she did, her mask was pulled down on her chin. I saw two guests in the lobby who were also not even wearing a mask whatsoever. Masking wearing is not enforced and can’t be considering the staff doesn’t wear theirs, even when greeting guests. Now the room. The carpet was disgusting. Stains upon stains. Would not walk barefoot. Found two hairs on the bed/pillows. Given the fact the staff was not wearing masks, I could not be certain the rooms were actually cleaned properly to be Covid safe. Wipe down everything. Overall, I would not stay here again. I would try the Holiday Inn across the street. I don’t care if you believe Covid is real or a risk or not. Staff should comply with regulations and make their guests feel safe and feel their health & wellbeing is valued by the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Off the beaten path! Fantastic everything. Spent 2 weeks here for work and enjoyed every minute of it. Everything clean and all the employees are super nice. Location puts you in short distance of many restaurants and stores. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here in February and it was fantastic but it has went down. It must have sold. There were no fresh cookies laid out like the last time. The desk clerk was not friendly. There is no hot breakfast which is just an excuse because of Covid. We have stayed at other motels with a hot breakfast. There was only cold cereal, some muffins, no coffee and sweet bar. They also do not clean your room if you stay more than 1 night. You have to come to the desk to get clean towels. The beds were bad, not good for back issues. The hairdryer on the wall had dust on it. The shower curtain had mildew. The trash can outside was dirty. The motel was not busy at all but they put some real noisy people above us that sounded like a herd of elephants. There were two of us with only 2 big towels. The internet wasn’t great either. I doubt we will stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room was dingy & smelly. The beds were horrible and very uncomfortable. This was our first time staying at a Country Inn & Suites and our last. Called to let them know that our son left his phone in the room and they flat out lied saying it’s not in there. So now I guess one of their employees has a new phone! Disgusted! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
