Good Hotel for family

We had a large family get together and used the meeting room at this hotel. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Try the cinnamon rolls. Room rates were also very reasonable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Cheap, good location, quirky

Rooms are small, decor is a combination of 1950s modern and The Jetsons. We reserved a "suite" with a whirlpool tub. The tub was barely big enough for one of us. The suite was laughably small. But the room was clean and low priced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Have stayed here in the last year and the motel was good but this time has definitely gone down hill. At first it looks new and updated, but underneath the new is messy. Our rooms were filthy, stains on the bed, stains on the floor. Crumbs under the mattresses, missing outlet covers, and the tv is dangling from the wall. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This review is mainly a negative review The reception venue DC Centre suggested this hotel because of its proximity of 2 blocks - next closest about 1 mile. September 2019 wedding reception booked in May 2019 communicated with hotel to provide a block of rooms for both the bride and grooms side of the family. Over 60 of our guests booked or at least tried to book hotel rooms here in July 2019 after receiving wedding announcement. The bride's mother finally abandoned her effort to book her hotel room here because no one would answer the phone or return a phone call from the voicemail left. I was treated quite rudely when booking as the inexperienced staff said they had booked my room for 4 days at $109/night rate for king bed room but each confirmation e-mail was 3 day stay which equaled what he quoted me a 4 day rate. Once the manager got involved it got worse, he hung up on me and so I went to Hotels.com to book my room so I wouldn't have to deal with the staff at the hotel. The bride who had set back 10 rooms (along with our 10 rooms for our side of family) also did not receive calls back from manager about her questions regarding location of her suite and other rooms as well as the shuttle they were promised to provide for this wedding reception 2 blocks away. the bride cancelled her rooms and moved to the hotel 1 mile away - HAMPTON INN - Omaha; where she was treated nicely with suite, room for pre-wedding dinner and shuttle on day of reception. I commented on my experience this past weekend with this hotel and even though my review was factual I also believe in posting when things are being corrected. I received a call from the owner of the hotel and he was and is VERY concerned about how guest are treated. As I explained my experience staying he was disappointed in the staff and the lack of proficiency in the training. I did tell him that every staff that I walked passed was very professional and they greeted me each and every time. He assured me that they have made some positive changes and they have reviewed the training of the new staff. There are times when you just don't want to risk going back to places to relive the situation, but we all make mistakes. I believe the owner has made the necessary changes to the facility by listening and correcting the wrong. As you can see posting reviews really do make a difference. I'm asking that you give this hotel a 2nd chance - we all make mistakes. Thanks. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
