Great hotel near mountain brook

Oct 12th, 2020

Nice hotel. Right across the Fresh Market. Hotel is new or renovated. Everyone is nice and helpful. Limited breakfast due to covid, but not bad. Only issue that I had was the Netflix option didn’t work due to wifi problems. I really enjoyed, so I’ll give five stars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Updated hotel—great service and amenities

Oct 11th, 2020

Gold Marriott member—First time staying here. It’s been completely renovated and is very nice. Front desk staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Courtyard typically doesn’t include a comp. breakfast unless you have a rate that includes it, however, this hotel offered a nice complimentary breakfast to all guests--bagels, toast, muffins, Danish, cereal, granola bars coffee, milk, orange juice, apple juice and a variety of fruit. Really nice unexpected bonus! The rooms are new and have a huge TV—great for watching football on Saturday! Quiet, clean—an overall great stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice area near zoo!

Sep 29th, 2020

We stayed here for a short weekend trip to the zoo. It was perfect. Nice safe area for families. The restaurant was closed due to covid so the hotel provided a free breakfast that included toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, milk, oj, coffee, yogurt and fruit! Right across the road is a Fresh Market, Target, and Five Guys. The zoo was an 8 minute drive. The hotel seemed newly remodeled. Rooms were clean. Staff was very nice. The rooms had a sliding glass door that you could open and let the fall air in, that was nice. We stayed on the 2nd floor. They only had one elevator so that was a little awkward, so using the stairs near your room is recommended to save you from a lot of walking would be recommended. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel allows racist discrimination

Aug 25th, 2020

If you are black with kids please dont go here! You will not be welcome! My kids & I was denied service base off the color of our skin! I am a Marriott member so I checked my app before & again once leaving the hotel, but did not book online, because I wanted to see the room first! There was plenty of room available! I ask for a two bedroom & was told nothing in the hotel was available!, while another walk in" white," business man ask for the same room and was granted with no issues!it sadden me that my nine year old son already knew & understood why we was denied service! Smh the world we live in! We just wanted a little sleep ma'am! Not I dont even want my Marriott membership anymore. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

Jun 22nd, 2020

Hotel is going through an upgrade - the rooms are done and great. The outside is still a work in progress but not an issue if you understand there is construction. We were there because our daughter was having our first grandkid. We were hesitant to travel with CV19 but the hotel is prepared and their precautions are good. The lobby was closed but that did not stop the staff from leaving a nice note and gift celebrating the birth of our grandchild. In an environment where it would have been easy to "hide behind the plexiglass" the staff made us feel special and took the extra step. I cannot wait to revisit under more normal circumstances and get to know the staff! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
