Swimming stay

Oct 29th, 2019

I stayed here one night for Mississippi High School Swimming State Championship and our room was ready and clean. WiFi worked well and we had no problems during my stay. I made a mistake when booking the hotel, I thought that my elite status breakfast would be included but I was incorrect. I think it is very funny that breakfasts is not included for elite customers, I don’t think I will stay here again since there are other options that provide breakfast in the area. Again, we had no problems with the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ok

Oct 27th, 2019

Spent 2 nights here for work. Rooms were fine and clean. But there was a ton of construction happening in the lobby our entire stay which resulted in a ton of noise and dust everywhere. Plus the gym was closed. There was no warning of this when we made the reservation. I was traveling with my 9 month old. The first pack and play they brought up was broken. The second one was just plain disgusting. There is no free breakfast for ambassador elite members either. And our room was not serviced on our 2nd day. There are a few places you can walk to from here but you really need a car to get most places. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location!

Oct 11th, 2019

We were very pleased to stay here while traveling through. It was between this and the Fairfield and were happy we chose this. It’s a little off the highway which is great because there were more amenities in town. Attached to the parking lot is both the Texas Roadhouse and Outback, across the street is a newly remodeled Steak and Shake...very convenient! Rated 4 stars because the hotel lobby is under construction. It didn’t affect our stay. Also, the first room we checked into has a lot of stinkbugs...‘‘tis the time of year. We asked for another room and received it without any issues. These were the softest towels of any hotel we’ve stayed at! The rooms are updated and modern and we just loved the new glassware! The water pressure in the shower could be improved but it was a totally updated and modern shower (no tub) with delta hardware. I was greeted as a Platinum Elite guest and thanked for my loyalty to Marriott which is always appreciated. Definitely would return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First and last stay

Mar 24th, 2019

We stayed here for one night and were not impressed. There was no one at the counter to check us in so we had to wait about 5 minutes with our luggage in hand to check-in. She finally arrived from the back and got us checked in. The room was musty and smelled bad like mildew. The decor was 70’s like and the carpet was peeling away from the walls. It was bad enough where no one wanted to take their socks off. While tucking my kids in, there was an empty candy wrapper under their bed that stuck to my sock...we didn’t have any candy with us. I was scared to look under the bed but there was another candy wrapper and a lot of dust. We slept the night and quickly checked out earlier than planned bc we didn’t want to stay any longer. Not great

Feb 17th, 2019

We spent one night. The staff was nice and helpful. We had several issues though. The toilet kept running after it was flushed and we had to keep taking off the lid and jiggling the device inside the tank to get it to stop so it could be flushed. As we had come in late from a concert and didn’t notice this until after we got in bed we did not want to get up, get dressed, and wait for maintenance. I have to eat a special diet for health reasons so I had brought my breakfast to eat the next morning. When I took it from the refrigerator in the room, where it had been on the bottom shelf, it was frozen solid. The convenience outlets by the bed had a short and my husband’s sleep apnea machine kept cutting off. I did notify the staff of these problems. She did not write it down so I hope it was it was all taken care of for the next guest. Also my hubby got in bed first and the mattress was visibly sagging. He is a small guy so it wasn’t a weight issue. I think it is time for a redo of this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
