Older But Still Good

Aug 29th, 2020

Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Arrowood - Stay Report - 8/28 to 8/29 Location: The hotel is located on Arrowood Road just east of Exit 3 on I-77.  This is about as far south as you can get in the Charlotte area of NC before you hit South Carolina.  Nearby are a few other hotels and a number of fast food places including a Sonic, Starbucks and Jack in the Box.  Because of the proximity to I-77 you can get around easily but be advised that there's a lot of rush hour traffic in this area. Hotel: A typical suburban early generation Courtyard that's aging semi gracefully.  It's a sprawling complex with a parking lot that wraps the whole hotel which at least cuts down on walking.  There's a small outdoor pool in the center of the hotel and the typical Pantry area in the lobby.  Currently they are serving coffee in the AM and some grab and go snacks. Check In: A friendly agent thanked me for being Titanium and asked if I wanted points or a $10 F&B credit. Room: I had reserved a suite which was actually very nice.  The bedroom was separate from the living room which made holding a few meetings easy.  The living area had a work area, small kitchen area with fridge (though no coffee maker which was really annoying), there was a decent sized bathroom and a small closet and the bedroom.  Noise was not an issue and the wifi worked well. Overall this is a really good value for Charlotte.  I'd be back.  TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean property and accommodating front desk staff

Jul 17th, 2020

First off, our family felt totally fine about staying here during Covid-19. The hotel was very clean and very quiet. Suite was updated, spacious, and had Paul Mitchell toiletries, for those interested in that kind of thing. Also, front desk staff--Lindsey in particular--was kind and very helpful regarding all aspects of our stay. For all of these reasons, we would certainly stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend getaway

Nice place- very clean and staff is excellent. Outdoor pool looks wonderful and our room had a balcony we could sit on overlooking the courtyard and fire pit. Room looks like it was recently renovated and feels very modern. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff def made up for an aging property

Nov 18th, 2019

I stayed here for 4 days while visiting family. Very conveniently located and I got a great rate thru Priceline, so it was less painful than if I'd have paid a higher rate. It was quiet for the most part, but the walls were thin and you could hear someone cough right next door. I had to switch rooms b/c of an overwhelming musty, almost molding smell. I live in the humid south and I know this smell well. The second room was less musty. Perhaps it's the carpets. The AC had a lot of dust on the exterior. All the room doors had a one inch gap at the bottom and this made me very uneasy for many reasons. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
