Pretty Good, But ......

Jan 1st, 2020

I stayed here for two nights. It is in a good location, 2 miles from Gettysburg, and near Route 15. The staff is very nice. The lobby is very nice. The rooms are generic, no frills, bland, the most uninspired decor of anyone Courtyard. What my problem was that the room was not clean. For the days I was there, there was a plastic knife and wrapper on the floor. It tells me they do not vacuum the floors, or even check them. There was also trash in the hallway for 24+ hours. There was a lamp in the room that the dust was so thick that I actually wrote in it. The bed linens had a "mark" on them and should not have been used. They should invest in a dust cloth and vacuum. Housekeeping needs to improve. I would only stay here again if they had a fantastic price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One of the nicer Gettysburg hotels with a reasonable pet fee

Dec 29th, 2019

This hotel is one of the nicer roadside hotels in Gettysburg. We have stayed a few times and it's always our first choice in the area. Pros: Nice staff Relatively clean Modern furnishings Reasonable pet fee ($30) Reasonable room price (usually around $80-$90) Cons: Sparse food options nearby The rooms vary in their cleanliness TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The good-looking lobby is misleading......

Nov 21st, 2019

This is a very large building masquerading as a hotel. Lobby is promising, elevator sooo slow, food was abominable and I had to return my Cobb salad. The tomatoes were old, avocado dried around the edges, and the hard-boiled egg so rubbery, I could have played squash with it! A friend had a meal of quescedilla (can't spell it) that he couldn't finish it. It was dried out and flaked pastry. A margarita had no salt on the rim of the glass and a vodka martini, the proportions of the two mixes was bent out of shape. The bar tender is definitely not a trained person. The young man who took back my salad said he was embarrassed and he would speak to his Manager who would "do something for me." He did give a Starbucks cold drink for free. The Manager never came near me. We went to a nearby hotel for our next meal and had breakfast at Perkins on the way out. None of us wanted to face the bistro again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Lobby

Nov 14th, 2019

The thing that stood out to me at this hotel (for some reason) was their lobby. It had a nice, large footprint with a variety of seating options, business center, low and high top tables, fire place, tv with lounge chairs. I felt very productive getting some work done there in the mornings before heading out. The room was pretty nice too. Met all my expectations. Digital thermostat, mini fridge, comfortable bed, clean and fresh, loveseat, quiet below window unit. Breakfast was available for purchase at a cafe counter which also had food and drinks available throughout the day and evening. Location was not amazing - There is one restaurant (craft brewery), a movie theater, and another hotel in walking distance in a huge developed piece of land that looks hopeful to build other things in the future. I was able to Uber to downtown Gettysburg for under $10 one way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
