Enjoyable Stay

Dec 1st, 2019

We just spent five nights at this hotel and we are very happy with our choice. After reading several reviews we decided to take a chance and feel that this may be our choice from now when visiting the area. Let me start by saying that everyone in the staff is beyond nice. From the front desk to the people at the bistro to the housekeeper. Everyone is always helpful and smiling . The hotel is very well located across from a Wholefoods and CVS and surrounded by many places to eat. We did not need a car ( they do have a very big and easy to access garage if you have one ) since it is only a couple of blocks from the Metro abd easy to get to. The room was a good size and comfortable with a very good matress, a desk that can be pulled out and repositioned and a large loveseat and ottoman. Being able to log into my own Netflix account on their large TV was great and the wifi was easy to connect to and fast. The bathroom had a good shower and plenty of counter space for our toiletries. The room was kept clean with lots of towels and the coffee machine and fridge were a good touch. Highly recommend and will probably be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fail

Nov 9th, 2019

Do not stay here! Avoid this hotel if you can! The front desk manager is extremely rude and condescending. I visited on November 9, 2019. The front desk manager insisted that I needed to wait for over 45 minutes for a room because no rooms were available. She stated that the cleaning staff was running behind schedule and had not finished cleaning the rooms. After 45 minutes, I was given a key. When I went to my room on the 7th floor, a cleaning staff member informed me that there were two rooms on the floor that were clean and very much available. The front desk manager insisted that I wait over 45 minutes when rooms were available. Worst, I was traveling with my mother, a senior, who also had to sit in the lobby and wait. The worst part was not the wait, but, the rude, nonchalant, “you can stay here or you can leave” attitude. Unbelievable. You can do better than Marriott Bonvoy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location!

Oct 29th, 2019

Stayed here 6 days traveling on metro train to D.C. Walking distance to train station or hotel will take you and pick you up. Several restaurants and Starbucks very close. Whole Foods and CVS across the street. Copper Canyon was a favorite. Everyone at this hotel was very friendly. Kemisha checked us in and helpful. Rolly was there for several days and always spoke to us. We would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, but noisy!

Sep 21st, 2019

My room was on the 4th floor, facing Fenton Avenue. The street traffic made things pretty noisy. I understand that the hotel has no control over that. The check-in was quick, the lobby had a nice seating area while waiting for my ride to the airport. The room had a really cute curved sofa and a laptop stand for doing computer work while watching TV. TV bed was comfortable, except for the overstuffed foam pillows (my Marriott account has my preference for feather pillows, and I understand those are not always available). My only issue was with the shower that came out in a very weak spray. The faucet button did not fully divert the water to the shower head, making my morning shower a 'less than refreshing' experience. Since most of the water was coming out of the faucet, it also caused the tub to fill up with water. This made for an 'average' overall rating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A nice, centrally located hotel in Silver Spring.

Sep 15th, 2019

The Marriott Courtyard Silver Spring Downtown offers folks staying in the Washington D.C. area a nice, quiet alternative to staying in the Capitol itself. It's close to the Metro (Red Line) and to many good cafes with offerings for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The hotel itself offers an affordable breakfast menu in its third-floor lobby.
