Clean, helpful and professional staff, nice location

Oct 15th, 2019

The Courtyard Boise Downtown is an older Courtyard that was recently renovated, though some of the rooms need further updating; especially in the bathrooms. That's because the bathrooms kept the outdated style of a small sink/wash basin area outside the actual bathroom. Also, the lighting both in the bathroom and the wash basin is pretty bad. In fact, lighting in the entire room was bad with way too many switches and controls that even when turned on weren't adequate. Why they didn't install better, central lighting during renovations is beyond me. Nevertheless, the entire hotel was clean, the staff were always helpful and professional, and the location is very nice and convenient even if it isn't right downtown. It is maybe 2 minutes by car from most things -- be it the university or downtown proper. Scott, one of the supervisors, should become a general manager. He was excellent in all regards. Besides lighting, two things that should be fixed: 1) TVs in lobby seating areas by bistro are outdated and have poor picture quality. 2) No Idaho Statesman newspapers. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good visit

Oct 14th, 2019

The Courtyard Boise Downtown is a well maintained property. The bed was comfortable. I had plenty of room to spread out and relax in my room. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located to sights and restaurants. The house keeping staff did a good job cleaning my room. The air conditioner was a little noisy. I was not bothered by noise from other guests or the street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This business rest stop provides a wonderfully comfortable bed and quiet environment. Clean, pleasant and friendly staff add to the at home feeling and welcome. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants, once the shuttle drops you off, you can get your personal or noshing needs met and settle in with Starbuck's from the Bistro. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another good Courtyard

Sep 25th, 2019

Stayed here for 1 night after a long day of travel to Boise. Typical Courtyard: clean quiet, good local beer selection at the cafe. Keurig in the room. Exercise room is smallish but decently equipped. It's near several restaurants, a Whole Foods, and a nice park - good location if you don't want or need to be right downtown Boise. Comfortable Place to Stay, Close to Downtown Boise

Sep 13th, 2019

I haven’t been in Idaho in about 40 years so when the opportunity arose to visit Boise and the west central part of the state, I quickly accepted and started to wonder what it would be like and how things have changed. I stayed at a few different places of lodging when I was in the state and the first one was the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Boise. This hotel isn’t located directly in downtown. It is actually about a 20 or 30 minute walk away, but it is close enough to make the claim. The hotel is clean, modern, friendly, and has all of the essentials one would expect for a comfortable stay. If you arrive from the airport, they have a complimentary shuttle, which is always a plus. The rooms at Courtyard Marriott Downtown Boise have an updated, modern look and feel and this is evident the moment you step inside. There is a large mural on one wall and the rooms are filled with modern furniture and have plenty of outlets for charging your electronics. The beds are higher off of the floor than average, so it could be a challenge for children and others to get up on top of the mattress for sleeping. Moving outside of the rooms, one will find a restaurant and bar, a small fitness area, and a business center. Much like the other members of this hotel chain, this location has a central courtyard where you can head for some outdoor relaxation in one of the comfy chairs. There is a fire pit, too, for added appeal. In the nearby vicinity of this hotel, one will find a few fast- food eateries and other restaurants, as well as a Whole Foods grocery store. Getting to downtown will require a brisk walk, but you could also call uber or a similar service if you’re not up for the physical challenge. I was in the mood to walk when I was here so I went to a few attractions on foot. It was great to finally make my way back to Idaho after a four- decade absence. The Courtyard Marriott Downtown Boise helped make my visit a good one overall. The service was friendly, the rooms are clean and updated, and the place is quiet, making for a restful night’s sleep. It is definitely a hotel worth considering for your next visit to Boise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
