Great Experience

Jul 8th, 2020

Our family stayed there recently for our son's wedding. We had originally blocked a number of rooms for the event but, due to Covid, that number was greatly reduced. The staff was wonderful. The group sales department was awesome. We are coming back next summer for the full reception with a larger group and will definitely stay there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great room

Apr 6th, 2020

Stayed 4/4. My room was the nicest room possible. Spotless ! Jenny deserves a raise, she took such good care of me .... what restaurants were open, who delivers, all important things today. My stay was all I could expect. I will stay again next trip through the valley. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Odd times, but even stranger barely functioning room

Mar 27th, 2020

We checked into the Courtyard Marriott because we were reassured by the desk reservation manager, Krista, that there was plenty of precautionary measures being taken to disinfect everything necessary. She even wiped down the cart in front of us before we headed upstairs! Unfortunately, she tried to enter the very small elevator with us and we had to tell her that no, that wasn't OK. The elevators here are small by any standard. When we got to the Room there were hanging wires and a small television on the desk and it turns out that the electrical system where my husband had to crowd over in the corner to work did not function. He had to sit on the bed to use his computer because mid-way his battery conked out (as the outlet was non-functional). Lighting at the desk was very poor, althoughthe seating area is cute, comfortable and had lots of light. Lastly, the closet door was missing -like I said, "odd". Note: I thought when we booked that the website said, "40 inch flat screen " tv, so when we arrived at the room I immediately called the front desk to question the weird, small TV. Krista told me that was the norm here. Odd. Look at the pictures- what kind of hotel has TVs ON the desk with wires hanging? Small side note: on the bedside table was a clock radio with its power cord prominently displayed, and it was difficult to find the light switch- these are not days I want to go sliding my hand along hidden surfaces! Positive: friendly helpful staff Clean rooms They wait 24 hours between booking rooms to reduce contamination chances I was read an excellent and reassuring list of precautions the hotel is taking-good job there Negative: TV taking up work desk space with wires hanging Outlets not working in desk area Closet door missing Small issue with hard to find bedside light Front desk staff in need of social distancing training TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Construction time

Feb 11th, 2020

This is still a Courtyard so the quality is there but I couldn't give the highest grade due to the odor of fresh paint...unavoidable but still...it's there. Great service and friendly staff as always. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Renovations ongoing...

Jan 21st, 2020

Call and check first to see the status of renovations before booking your stay. We stayed at this hotel as our base for our ski weekend to the Massanutten resort for the 2020 MLK weekend. I made the reservations on the Marriott website & nowhere did it mention that the hotel was going through renovations. We arrived for a late check in & were given an unfinished room on the the 4th floor (TV/Phone/lamps not installed). We were awoken to loud hammering and sawing at 8 am. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool & ultimately we had a clean place to lay our head but I would've paid the extra $40 a day and stayed at the Residence Inn around the corner if I had known the condition of the hotel.
