Friendly staff with excellent service

Aug 10th, 2019

I stayed here in May. The room was great and the rate was fair. Very nice hotel with great location (good restaurant nearby) with just a few steps from tram station and few minutes walk to MTR stations. Also, if you are would like to head to the airport, the station is just right opposite. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, special thanks to Gideon from front desk and Jannie the assistant manager, who provided excellent service. Really appreciated and I did enjoyed my stay. Will definitely come back and recommend my friend to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great stay

I stayed here for a conference plus a day or so of sightseeing. The room was great. The rate was fair. The breakfast was very good. It's a convenient location. A couple convenience stores close by to get drinks, etc. The tram stops at the corner, the subway is a pretty quick walk. Would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent location and service

Jul 19th, 2019

I spent a few nights at the Courtyard on a business trip to Hong Kong and found the facility to be excellent and the staff very helpful. The rooms are quite large and well maintained and the rooms with a view of the harbor are very pleasant. The hotel has an executive lounge for Platinum Marriott members or for a semi-reasonable daily fee where there is a good selection of food and drink. The property has its own shuttle service to the train station but is also just around the corner from the bus stop that is part of the airport express service. The only negative on this service is that the first shuttle at 8AM is not early enough for travelers leaving for morning flights. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Five Star Hotel on a Three Star Budget

Jul 12th, 2019

When you are traveling to the far reaches of the globe, you want to stay in a place that is welcoming and offers you unparalleled hospitality. Look no further than Courtyard Marriott on Hong Kong island. The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond. The rooms are meticulously clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I had not planned on staying here, but due to my flight being cancelled, I had to leave a day earlier and the other place I booked (AirBnB) was not available. I thought this location was far from the action in Hong Kong, but I was wrong and found it so convenient. Getting there from the airport I took the MTR Airport Express to Hong Kong station, then caught the free shuttle bus (H2) to the hotel. This is not the hotels bus, but a bus that stops at a handful of hotel on the West End of the island. Upon arrival, it was an easy check in. Martin was helpful in getting me settled and showing me the room and how the light switches worked. I stayed in a large King bedroom that overlooked the stunning views of Victoria Harbor. The room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. Robes were included in the stay. Since I had an extra day in Hong Kong that I had not planned on, I decided to go to Disneyland. The hotel was very accommodating and let me store my luggage there for the day. After enjoying the Happiest Place on Earth, I made my way to the AirBnB to make sure I could get in before picking up my luggage. Good thing I did, as the unit was trashed and had not been cleaned. Long story short, I made my way back to the hotel to see if they had a room open for the rest of my stay. Yes they did! Willy was so helpful and helped alleviate the stress of finding a place to stay. I rechecked in, this time to a double but still overlooking Victoria Harbor. A bit smaller than the King, but still very clean, updated, and robes included. This is a smoking hotel, so made sure to ask for a no-smoking room. The room came with breakfast included and MoMo’s did not disappoint! I’m not a big breakfast person but there is something for everyone at this service yourself breakfast. From buns to noodle soup, and western omelet to yogurt and fruit, even the pickiest of eaters will find something here. Four large bars with well-presented selection of food. A hot food section where they will make your food to order. They will happily explain any food that you’re not sure about and new to you. The seating area and cutlery were very clean. Rick was very helpful in answering our “tourist” questions. There were protests going on while we were there and he let us know what area to stay away from and if it would affect our outings. Jordon at the concierge desk was very helpful in planning the day’s activities. The mass transportation here is very smooth to navigate. The tram that runs the length of Hong Kong island, has a stop a few feet from the hotel. Get the octopus card if you are going to spend anytime using the transit system. And they can be used at some stores such as 7-11. We used on the Star Ferry, MTR, trams, and the A12 back to the airport. It was a 30 minute bus ride and the stop to get on the bus is directly across from the hotel. I can’t tell you how much staying at the Courtyard Marriott on Hong Kong island, and the staff that work there, increased the enjoyment of exploring Hong Kong. I highly recommend this location for business or leisure travel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
