Great location and perfect for business trips

Dec 8th, 2019

Stayed at the Courtyard Hong Kong for a last-minute business trip. It’s not super convenient as advertised, its about a 10 – 15 minute walk to the MTR entrance, followed by another 5 minute walk in the station to get to the train. But unless it’s raining its an enjoyable walk. Overall, for the price I paid, its definitely better value than the hotels in the CBD of Hong Kong. Will stay again for my next trip. Highly recommend for the price paid. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Family Traveler: Unlucky Mold and Mildew rooms

Dec 4th, 2019

We had a short family trip to HK which started out great with a free upgrade to the Executive room which has a great view. But once we got into the room, I opened a drawer on the end table and got a surprise hit of white mold spores flying everywhere. Mind you we are traveling with a child (can be dangerous). We head out the room and call down to the front desk. They were polite and fast in getting us a new room. The new room was a downgraded room. Once we enter we notice mold all over the AC vents and the room has an overwhelming musty smell. The room has not been cleaned(dust and food stains + residue all over). It was BAD. They then moved us to another room which at this point already has taken up about 2 hours of our time moving around. The room they gave us had clean air, seem relativity clean, didn't see any mold. We didn't care at that point we just wanted a clean room so that we can let our baby sleep. We took it. The rest of the stay went fine. Customer service was good but seemed robotic and cold. J Rooms are in bad shape. Some rooms have great views just a pity they don't maintain these rooms. If you have allergies or health problems I would recommend you stay away from this hotel. Courtyard by Marriott, a modest home away from home

Oct 29th, 2019

I always feel at home in any Marriott branded hotel. May it be Courtyard, JW Marriott, Marriott, Renaissance, or Ritz Carlton. Always feel pampered and privileged. Upgraded most of the time, given the use of the Executive lounge when available. This is our second or third time here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First time staying here

Oct 26th, 2019

This is my first time staying at this hotel and for a 12 years old hotel, I think they maintain it pretty well. The room assigned to me was spotless and free from odour. The only thing is if you are taking the MTR, be prepared to walk up a steep slope. Definitely not for those with weak knees. Lots of eateries and restaurants around this area and you will never run out of ideas of what to eat. My only comment was during check in. Granted that room upgrade is subject to availability and I totally agree with this. My reservation shows only my name and upon check in, I was told my room was upgraded. Of course I was pleasantly surprised but after I thanked the front office agent, she then told me it was a ‘twin’ room with harbour view. It’s redundant to offer me a twin room given the fact that I’m checking in alone. At the end I decided to stick to my original booking which was a king bed room and was assigned at lowest floor - 7 This could have been handled in proper manner. I don’t blame the front office agent because I’m pretty sure someone could have pre-assigned and upgraded my room to a twin room prior to my arrival and she merely delivered the so called “good news” to me. What they could have done was to ask me upon check in that the hotel does have a room for upgrade but it’s a twin and comes with harbour view. Ask the guest if I’m willing to accept it. The latter one is like “you have a choice” but the first scenario was like, “I have upgraded your room but it’s not going to match your needs” . Isn’t like telling the guest the good news and follow by a bad news? Food for thought. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Enjoyable stay at the Courtyard Marriott

Oct 13th, 2019

Stayed in #1001 in September for business and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean, modern and the hotel is very well located. Staff were very efficient and were always eager to help in anyway they can. Special mention to Willy Tsang who upgraded my room and took care of me during my whole stay. He is a credit to your hotel.
