perfect overnight before and after trip

we stayed at this hotel before we took off for Cancun, left our vehicle for 10 days and stayed again on our way home. On both occasions Paul and Cindy were SOOO friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and our room was perfect for our short stay. They both made it MORE than just an overnight stay. With Covid the morning breakfast is obviously just a grab and go but it was nice to have a quick something before we headed out to the airport and we greatly appreciated it. Because there are such few travelers it would sure be nice if they could provide a little nicer breakfast like a hot sandwich just to make it special. I know a lot of Marriott properties in our travels have found ways to still make something yummy and provide distance. I know it's terribly tough in this current economy but food always seems to push customers to a higher level. Cindy and Paul provide outstanding service and we look forward to our next stay before we head off to Africa----eeek. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable stay

We stayed for one night as part of a longer stay elsewhere in KC. We drove through the snow to get there, and Cindy at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and we would stay again if in the area. There are restaurants within walking distance, and the Zona Rosa area is right down the road. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very comfy and quiet. Only issue...

I would have given this a 5 star review due to the room being comfy and spacious. Also, the room was very clean and quiet. The only reason I am downgrading it is that I was charged $90 for making local phone calls. I could see if they were long distant calls. I did not realize that they would charge me for a local phone calls. I would expect to pay for pay per view, or restaurant items, or long distant calls but not local. If it's written anywhere, I would have liked to have known these costs upfront. And the front desk staff did not tell me at check in. There is no way I would have known about these costs or to even ask. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

They try hard.

Spent the night after flying into the KC airport. Newly remodeled hotel. Clean and quiet. Due to Covid, there is no food service at the hotel. Neighboring restaurants include Ruby Tuesdays and Cracker Barrel. In room coffee service upon request. The 2nd shift desk manager is wonderful and accommodating. Very limited direct contact upon checking in, which I appreciated. Paul, the airport shuttle driver was also very accommodating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great stay, what a relief

I am so happy we found this place! It was a safe, clean, attractive place for some sorely needed rest. It was better than just that, though. We fled the downtown Springhill Suites because there were zero COVID precautions in place and the lobby and bar were slam full of people with no masks. We were exhausted from a long day of driving and rattled about Springhill cavalier attitude. In this place staff were wearing masks and all were so kind, helpful and professional, at night and in the morning. The place was very quiet so I had a lovely little relax in the very attractive updated lobby. The person who checked us in turned on the outdoor firepit for us and we put our feet up and relaxed for the first time in several days. Yes the upstairs carpet was a bit worn... who cares? The extra TLC from staff, the beautiful lobby, the COVID precautions we needed, the clean comfy room and the much needed place to rest our minds not just our car and bodies, make this five stars. Thank you so much. I wish I knew the staff's names to compliment them personally. October 4 maybe? Such caring folks. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
