Amazing Staff

I had an early flight into Bubank, CA, and arrived at the hotel around 10:30 am. Check-in is not until 3:00 pm, so I knew I'd have a long wait. Alma was at the front desk and was most helpful. She let me know that they were completely booked the night before, but as soon as a room could be cleaned she would let me know. Alma took my cell number and told me she would call when a room was cleaned and available. The hotel lobby is very comfortable with a lot of seating, so I set up my computer and worked a little bit. I was in a room by 11:30 am!!! THANK YOU, ALMA, for taking care of my needs so quickly. I had a burger and fries for dinner from the hotel Bistro and I don't know how they make those fries, but OMG, they were so crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Excellent. Overall a wonderful stay. There is a shopping area very close to the hotel with a Target, Best Buy, and lots of restaurants. Very nicely located. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel, AMAZING STAFF

This is an overdue review, I stay at the Courtyard in Burbank quite often for my job. Not only is the hotel in a great location with plenty of shopping and food options within walking distance, but I always ask my agents to place me in the Courtyard due to the amazing service I always receive. Cannot say enough good things about the staff, they are all wonderful. Marie, in particular, at the front desk is FANTASTIC! Always warm, attentive and personable. She always remembers me by name and ensures I am blocked into the rooms I like time after time. I witness how she interacts with all guests and its admirable and the way everyone in hospitality should behave! If you are considering this hotel, do not hesitate! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disgusting and filthy rooms

Arrived at this place because flight was cancelled and needed to layover . First room was room 333 and there was hair all over the bed and a chocolate chip cookie piece sitting on the floor the mirrors were all dirty. So then they put us in another room on the 4th floor in room 413 and upon inspection of this room there was dirty tissue under the mattress and there was hair in the bathroom the light covers were very dusty .The staff were friendly but very uninformed how to handle this situation. The managers were all off for the weekend so really disappointed in Marriott. The Marriott standards really have fallen. I really question the California health department because saw the A rating at many properties and all were filthy. So I question who is taking payoffs to give good rating. Every other state I visited that have a rating system usually means something but I am guessing in Southern California you just payoff the health inspectors and they will allow you to have a A rating. So again please be super careful if you stay in Burbank California. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Broken AC Issues

I just went back and read some reviews. It turns out, this problem has occured before, and apparently the hotel didn't learn from their mistakes previously. My AC was broken when I checked-in. Maintenance "fixed" it (no he didn't). I was sweating and unable to sleep all night. I went downstairs at 2:45am to see if there was anything they could do. No maintenance on duty. No fans. No other rooms available. My sleepless night literally ruined the entire vacation and reason we drove to CA, as I had to leave the ONE DAY we had for our convention, so I could sleep. I wanted to make sure whatever the problem was it was actually fixed, so I could drive home the next day without falling asleep at the wheel, but neither of the maintenance staff they sent up could communicate the problem to me. They weren't adequately communicating the problem to the front desk either (one woman treated me like I was causing problems for her. REALLY?!!!), and no one could offer me a solution until I went downstairs to speak to a manager on the second day. While she was very kind, half off one night's rate hardly makes up for a completely ruined vacation. I will never stay at a Courtyard by Marriott again. I've never encountered hotel staff who care so little about their guests. Marriott, invest in some fans, please, as this is obviously an ongoing issue. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Softest beds and conveniently located!

I highly recommend this Courtyard. The staff is fast and friendly. The beds are AMAZING. The hotel is also in walking distance to serval stores and restaurants. Thank you Marie,Megan and Sarah for such a warm welcome. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
