Joseph and the and Crab cakes were amazing

Shout out to Joseph who recently took care of our table of 8. Thank you Joseph for being so professional and going out of your way to make our dinner celebration smooth. We were not an easy bunch but you handled us with the utmost patience. Crab Cakes are in the top five of all the restaurants in Delaware. I didn't believe it when I saw the recent article about the crab cakes at a Marriott. Kudos ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is everything you would expect from a Courtyard. The rooms and facilities were clean and modern. The lady who checked me in was friendly and helpful. Location is superb right off 95. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

nice, clean. check in fast. nice bar good breakfast coffee is Starbucks. nice lobby. pool, gym. friendly staff all around. good feel for the property. food menu is interesting. nice little shop for toiletries. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Rude Staff made it difficult to rate my stay higher

This was our host hotel for a half marathon. Listed on the race details was shuttle to the race start when I checked in the person at the desk said "there's no shuttle. You were misinformed." I asked about late checkout, as I really wanted a shower after running a half marathon, and I had been told when I made the reservation if I showed my Marriott Rewards Number I could get a 1pm checkout instead of the standard 12pm. He said "no. we don't have anymore late checkout" The race director was able to arrange a shuttle and the manage was able to finagle a 12:15 checkout for me, but it was incredibly stressful. At least 3 of the other runners said 2 other front desk people were also extremely rude to them as well about the shuttle and check out times. I would definitely look for a different hotel next time. The room was not as clean as I would have liked, there was a sticker - like someone had taken it off their clothes and stuck it to the bathroom wall -so if housekeeping missed that, who knows what else they missed when they were cleaning? And to top it off just before I fell asleep I found a centipede in my bed! I killed it. but it was so disturbing. I have received no follow up from the management, but I know why I am a Hilton Honors member. I will avoid Marriott like the plague. Rude.unresponsive and uncaring. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best hotel room ever

I stay in a lot of hotels and have never rated one a 5. We stayed here 3 nights for a wedding while on a two week road trip. The quality of room 436 was great - extremely quiet, dark and comfortable beds with free parking and free internet. The only negative is they do not offer free breakfast - there is a buffet for $13.95 but that is unreasonable for a hotel in this price point. I’d stay here again if ever in Newark.
