I have always been confident in booking a stay at a Courtyard by Marriott. Not anymore! This hotel is a mess in all areas of hospitality. I gave it two stars because the beds and pillows were actually comfortable. Otherwise, I would have given it one star. While the beds were nice, every other area was sorely lacking. The A/C unit in the room was very loud. So loud that I could not hear the TV when the unit turned on. I had to turn on the Closed Caption on the TV. If I had to turned the volume up loud enough to hear over the AC, I would have woken up anyone sleeping in nearby rooms. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not offer a complimentary cup of coffee, hot tea, or a cup of water in the morning. They were charging for everything. There were no more than 5-6 guests cars in the whole parking lot during my three night stay over Valentine's weekend. The hotel was basically empty. Yet, we were given a room at the rear of the hotel that backed up to a major interstate. The road noise all night long made it impossible to get a good nights sleep. With so many empty rooms throughout the hotel this was unacceptable. They were also doing renovations on the room across the hall from us and on random rooms throughout the hotel. The workers across the hall were loud and disruptive. Not with just the work. They would also stand right outside our door and talk loudly to each other. They might as well have been in the room with us. The first morning there I flushed the toilet and it began to overflow. I go to turn off the water valve before the water flowed over the top of the toilet, only to see that the handle to the shut off valve was broken off. The toilet flooded the bathroom. I immediately called the front desk and no one would answer. I called FIVE times over the course of fifteen minutes and no one answered. I even called the outside number to the front desk and no one would answer. I walked all the way to the front to tell the employee what was going on. She said she would contact engineering. We left to go to breakfast. We returned 1.5 hours later to find that no one had addressed the flooded bathroom and the non-operational toilet. I had to contact the front desk AGAIN. This is unacceptable. I do not go on vacation to have to deal with maintenance issues. When I called the front desk this time someone actually answered. I spoke to the same woman I had seen earlier about the toilet. She said that she would come herself to fix it. Which she and another woman did. Meanwhile I asked if there was a bathroom in the lobby I could use. I was told there was. I walked all the way up there again and found that the ladies room was also under renovation and I was not able to use that toilet either. The men's room in the lobby was open which my companion used. He said that the toilet in there did not flush properly either. So beware! They obviously have plumbing issues. Moving on from the toilets, was the smell in the hotel. Our room did not have an odor (thankfully), but the halls and the lobby had a stinky smell. The room keys would not work on the second day. I walked up to the lobby and told the front desk clerk that I could not get in my room. Without a word to me, she grabbed the two card keys from my hand, did something with them behind the counter and handed them back to me. She did not speak a word to me. No apology for the inconvenience, nothing. I am getting pretty tired of the lack of civility, let alone customer service, while I am giving a business my money. My last complaint is that the first night we were there, it was obvious that a couple who were hanging out in the back parking lot, were selling drugs and behaving shady. I did not feel safe going to the parking lot alone. Overall, a disappointing experience and not worth the money I spent for the lodging. I will not being staying at a Marriott establishment anytime soon. Obviously, the nearly five-star reviews for this establishment are bogus!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Blood stain on the towels - be careful

First there was a blood stain on the towel, disgusting. Second maintenance entered my room without even knocking, it is unacceptable. What if I was naked. Manager Richard wasn’t helpful at all he was rude with me didn’t even apologize. He was disrespectful. My advice don’t stay there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Courtyards are usually a great place to stay, especially for a theme park vacay. They're affordable, typically clean, and provide just enough amenities to make the little time you spend in the hotel enjoyable. This one did not meet the usual Courtyard standards. In our suite there was a big weird stain on the counter. I'm assuming there should have been a coffee pot there. The room had shower cap over the smoke detector. Curious about why. We found hair on the bathroom floor too. Typically we would have asked for a room change, but it was late and we were tired.Covered the hair with a towel and dealt with it. We checked-in around 7;00 pm. Check-in was smooth. The lobby is cute. There is a mini fridge and microwave in the large suite. The suite has plenty of room for families. Can't comment on food or beverage. Neither were available. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Incredibly clean and comfortable in the current environment

When we work, my colleague and I are usually overseas. We had 4 international virtual programs to conduct in 2 days at all hours of the world clock. We decided to check in to the Courtyard Marriott on Austrian Court/Orlando, in order to be able to use Marriott's renowned wifi service, generous rooms and location to numerous eating options. We were treated so well and the entire hotel was incredibly clean and adhered to well announced COVID procedures. We were really impressed! The team is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We check in on June 27th using our Sea World Passholder rate. Checkin was smooth but I realize after getting to our room they had forgotten to provide us with the Resort Guest lanyards that provide perks at the theme park. I walked back down to the front desk to ask about the lanyards and transportation to the park (listed as a perk of staying at a Sea World Partner Hotel). They provided the lanyards and informed us that yes partner hotels do offer transportation to Sea World - but they don’t! Bummer! I asked about breakfast in the morning - entire bistro area was closed due to COVID - not ideal but we are traveling during a pandemic so no biggie as there were plenty of places within walking distance for breakfast - shout-out to Friendlys next door for a stellar breakfast menu! Coffee makers and ice buckets have to be requested - again due to COVID-19. However, our room only had a partial roll of toilet paper. We realized there were no extra rolls ANYWHERE bright and early in the morning. My daughter called down to the desk to request an additional toll as we were completely out. She was told she had to go down to the front desk to get it. Umm.... We are all in pajamas and clearly in a predicament... was not impressed by that response. The room was clean and spacious with a small balcony - however the I4 road noise was a bit much. The hotel clearly wasn’t very full so I can’t imagine putting guests in locations that I’m sure have noise complaints and are on the complete other side of the hotel when every single item you may need must be retrieved at the front desk was poor planning. Overall the hotel was okay and perhaps under different travel circumstances would have been different. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
