Decent Stay

Mar 1st, 2020

I was on a business trip to Sacramento and decided to stay here. Good quiet location. Check in was friendly and engaged. Room was nice with a comfortable bed but the wall air conditioning unit was noisy. Not many close dining options so I decided to stay in. I decided on a Caesar salad and fish and chips. Unorganized ordering process seemed like no one was in charge. The fish and chips eventually arrived and were good. However, no salad and finally went back to ask for it and they said they forgot to deliver it. Decent stay but will go somewhere else to eat next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stay, hosting and Food

Feb 24th, 2020

we stay over a week and the food was great, very friendly staff and very clean rooms and dinning areas, I will be back for sure and recommend this location. Patty, Gladis Jazper were the employees who take good care of all the soccer coaches during this week, great Job, thank you for everything. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Will Not Return

Feb 19th, 2020

This hotel needs a serious remodel. The lobby is fine, the rooms are another story. Walls are paper thin, the things I heard loud and clear....Conversations between people on the phone, I could hear both participating parties on the call; and well you can use your imagination to what else I heard over my three night visit. It was hard to get a good nights sleep here. I have never stayed in a hotel with walls this thin, let alone a Marriott. There are so many things in need of assistance in the rooms I could go on forever. Water pressure in the showers, (not just during peak water usage times either), cleaning issues. Location is ideal if you are visiting a hospital but not for anything else. There are no food or shopping locations within walking distance. The service at the Bistro is horrible. They were out of ingredients to make two of the signature drinks. I am a gold elite marriott member and will not ever be returning to this location again. I will choose another hotel chain over ever coming back here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I won't be returning here

Jan 14th, 2020

Three of us -- two sisters and our 92-year-old mother -- were unable to book a room at this hotel with two queens and a roll-in shower, so we booked one with two beds and a "transfer chair" that would get our mom in and out of the bathtub. Shockaroo: There was no transfer chair. We moved to a new room with a walk-in shower but only one bed, so I slept in a rollaway. No mattress pad -- yuck -- and springs almost poking through the fabric cover. This hotel is right across the street from a hospital -- how can it not be more friendly to people with disabilities? Also, lobby furniture was dated and dirty, and housekeeping was lame. On the plus side, front desk staff was friendly. P.S. The location is dreary, with nothing around. Rather than eat overpriced sandwiches available at the hotel, we ended up walking to a Jack in the Box for dinner. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place for Christmas Eve

Dec 26th, 2019

We stayed here while visiting family in the Sacramento area on Christmas Eve. Arrived very late (11pm) and checked in via the night manager (can’t remember his name) who was very friendly and welcoming. The lobby had a few folks hanging out and was in great condition with several areas to sit and hang out with the family. Our room was in an updated condition with comfortable bed and pillows. The AC unit is a bit on the loud side side but didn’t bother us. The location is very close to Shriners and UC Davis hospitals and it seemed quite a few folks were visiting there on Christmas morning. I’d definitely go back when visiting the Sacramento area.
