Great Staff

Oct 3rd, 2020

Upon checking in the staff was helpful in getting it done quickly. The room was quite and clean. The bed was comfortable and remote batteries were charged. Stay here if your in the Springfield area. Thanks! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointed

Sep 22nd, 2020

Strike 2!!!!!! No third strike for me. This is the second time I have stayed here. The first time the kitchen was closed at 7:30pm so I had to eat hot pockets from the pantry for dinner. Now on my second stay here the kitchen is closed because the “cook” called in sick. So they have a shuttle. I asked them if they could take me somewhere to eat. My only option is Wendys which is .2 miles away. The shuttle isn’t allowed to go anywhere else according to the lady at the front desk. So I’m staying at a Courtyard in the middle of nowhere with no food being served and the shuttle cannot take me anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Her suggestion was Uber Eats. If I wanted Uber Eats I would have saved money and stayed at a Choice or IHG property. Your hotel is truly pathetic and run very poorly!!! Quit using COVID as an excuse!!!! We are all traveling and expect businesses to be open as we are open for business!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very disappointing.

Jul 30th, 2020

We made a reservation on Hotels.com for a room with a jetted tub . When we got there we were given an accessible jetted tub room . The accessible bathroom was not that clean they were poorly patched holes in the walls. The showerhead was mounted in the middle of the shower area so that it faced outward toward the opposite wall and toilet. It was detachable, but when I went to reach to on attach the showerhead to use it the whole thing fell off the wall so I had to screw it back onto the wall . When I turned on the water because the showerhead was attached to the middle of the shower the water sprayed everywhere. The water from the shower Poured out onto the floor of the bathroom where the toilet was because the platform for the shower was above the floor for the toilet and there was a slant from the platform for the shower down to the floor for the toilet with no ridge to collect water. The door was splattered with some type of dirt paint something I don’t know . The room did not look that clean nor was it a three star type room by any means . When I went and told the lady at the front desk about it she just smiled and shrugged it off . We went to get a cuppa coffee and the coffee cost 2.70 even though when we checked in the lady said there was complementary coffee . The restaurant breakfast was expensive and we did not eat at the hotel. We will not be coming back to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Rooms are tired and in need of renovation

Mar 2nd, 2020

This used to be one of my favorite Courtyard properties (I spend 50+ nights a year in Courtyard hotels), and the staff are still great. However, they haven't renovated the guest rooms in many years. The rooms still have the orange/red design from 10+ years ago, when most Courtyards have renovated/transitioned to the blue/gray design. They recently did a nice renovation of the exterior and the lobby, but I don't sleep or shower with the exterior walls or lobby furniture. The rooms at this point are tired. My room smelled of smoke, and my bathroom/showerhead was gross on my most recent stay. The HVAC unit was pointed right at the desk, and would only turn off when I unplugged it. The carpet/fixtures are 10+ years old, and they still have the old bathtubs from 10+ years ago. The bed was the typical comfy Courtyard bed. Hopefully hotel ownership will eventually spend the money necessary to get this hotel back to its former place as the best hotel in Springfield. Until then, I will likely choose to stay elsewhere. Driving home

Feb 11th, 2020

We stayed for the night during our 1800 mile drive home. We were very happy with the comfortable beds and the quite halls after our long drive. We just wanted to shower and get a good nights sleep which we were able to do. We had stayed at a Comfort Suites the night before but this room was actually the same price and yet more for your money. We were very pleased and would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
