Very Nice Hotel Close to Atlanta Airport

Here for a three day business meeting. Staff very courteous and helpful. Nightly rate was very good. Conference meeting space was appropriate for our meeting size of approximately 160 people with a number of breakout rooms. Food was fine. On site parking was only $7/night. Very close to airport for those who flew in. Close to an authentic Louisiana seafood restaurant which was wonderful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No shuttle for early flights

The hotel is OK. Very comfortable bed. Amazing water pressure in the shower! While the check in proccess was quite satisfactory, it was still done with a touch of Atlanta’s signature “what do you want?” unfriendly manner. I have had a 5 am flight and unfortunately, hotel’s shuttle does not start operating until 4.30. Considering this is a major hotel brand near a gigantic airport, the early morning shuttle situation is unacceptable. The ATL airport area is probably one of the nastiest airport areas of any airport. Hotel, of course, has no control of the location, its just a pity that the world’s largest airport is located where it is. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wow. Just wow.

We woke up the first morning and had water all over the bathroom floor. Called front desk. Maintenance man appeared quickly, but it wasn’t fixed, only mopped up. Next day, informed front desk again. Nothing was done, no follow up. Day four we wake up to no hot water in the hotel and that, combined with water from the leaky toilet on the floor was just too much. Sleeping somewhere else tonight despite the hot water being restored. When my husband called early this morning to inform them of the lack of hot water, he was told it was throughout the hotel, and the person at the front desk told him that some guests found it successful to let the water sit in the tub for awhile to take the chill off. Comfortable Room But Poor Service

My company contracted rooms at the Crowne Plaza-Atlanta Airport for staff to attend a meeting at our nearby headquarters the next day. Our contract with the hotel includes dinner and breakfast vouchers. Oddly everyone had their "welcome" letter and meal vouchers slipped under their door in the wee hours of the morning. Since I had no way to travel backward in time, I could not use the dinner voucher that was valid only for the night before. It would seem more appropriate to distribute the welcome letter and meal vouchers at the time of check-in, not the next morning just hours before the guest checks out. I was also disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi did not work. I made multiple attempts but was unable to connect in my guest room. As a result, I had no way to check my email for any last minute changes to my meeting. The check out process was very slow, because there was only one agent working the reception desk. The hotel should have planned for adequate staffing to cover guest check outs, since most hotel guests check out in the morning. When I told the agent about the problems with the meal vouchers and Wi-Fi, she told me, with a very surly and curt attitude, that she would let someone know. She certainly had no customer service skills and did not belong in a customer facing position. As an iHG Gold member, it was not the experience I expected from a Crowne Plaza property. On a more positive note, the bed was very comfortable. I got a good night's sleep. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of cleaning the room. This was my first time staying at this Crowne Plaza property. My colleagues on the shuttle in the morning told me that they had stayed at that hotel before for company functions and had problems using the meal vouchers. Given my experience and the feedback from others, I will recommend that my company consider using another hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Park and Fly

The last visit there we took advantage of their PARK AND FLY SERVICE. Which is great knowing that your vehicles are safe, but even better is the courteous attendant who will drop you off curbside for your airline check in. Had our flight not been late in the evening instead of an early morning departure, we of course (as we have done many times before) would have stayed overnight. This hotel makes you feel most welcome however you use it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
