Great location and nice rooms; not for families.

Jul 21st, 2019

The Good: - Great location - Staff was friendly but did not initially accommodate for my family needs - Clean with a nice lounge on the 1st floor - Nice rooms - Good wifi The Bad: - Small rooms - No pool - Not all toiletries available - Noise: you can hear your neighbors - Light: There is no way to shut out all of the light Overall: Stay if you are able to sleep with light, noises, small rooms, without kids, and if you are okay to hit NYC with a lack of a pool. Stunning Hotel with a Great Location!

Jul 21st, 2019

We took a train from Philadelphia and had about 27 hours to see NYC. The hotel was in easy walking distance to Penn Station. We arrived about 9 in the morning. Our room wasn’t ready, but the hotel was happy to hold our bags and called us when our room was ready. We were blown away by how beautifully decorated our room was. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was stunning. The only down side to it was that because of the glass shower door, no one else could be in the bathroom when someone was showering. That makes it a little tough for a family of four to get ready. We were on the 15th floor and had absolutely no street noise. The beds were so welcoming after a LONG day of sightseeing. We loved the lavender mint pillow sprays and face wipes! The hotel was able to accommodate our late checkout request of 12:00. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A productive stay at an affordable luxurious hotel

Jul 21st, 2019

The front desk team was amazing: thoughtfully greeting me, making me aware of my Spire Elite benefits, making me aware of the hotel's amenities, letting me know I can be in touch if I need anything during my stay. The quiet zone levels in the hotel are a great idea. I was amazed by the fitness center which offers Peleton bikes. My room was sparking clean, fresh sheets. The hotel itself seemed like a showroom: everything was spotlessly clean, mirrors perfectly clean - a true achievement which underlines the attention to detail given so many people come in and out - being able to keep it so clean shows that they must be cleaning it constantly throughout the day. The hotel bedding was great - very fluffy, comfortable. Belldesk staff were amazing - remembering my luggage without even me needing to tell them what my baggage tag is - it felt very personal and welcoming. I love the business center - great printer that allows scanning and printing. Couches are amazing, silky. I'm coming back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Calm & Professional in A Blackout

Jul 14th, 2019

My husband and I stayed here in July 2019. The room was clean and the bed was unusually comfortable. I asked for and they were able to accommodate a request for view of city buildings. But here’s where the staff made their mark: there was a west-side wide blackout the Saturday night of our stay. A blackout. A complete blackout. In July. In midtown New York City. Staff was SO BEYOND PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL AND CLEAR about our options and how to stay safe. I also witnessed staff dealing with some folks acting like pushy jerks and they kept. Their. Cool. Amazing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location in midtown

Jul 14th, 2019

Arrived very early in the morning and staff helped us to have early check-in into one of our pre-booked rooms. That made life a lot easier for us. After having a shower and got freshened up, we walked to Hudson Yard area and enjoyed a good walk at High Line. Rooms were small but this is Manhattan and it’s understandable. It’s clean and basic — but practical. Asked for a kettle and this allowed us to have hot water and to prepare tea. Shower and toilet area was OK. Of course, would love to have it bigger. It’s on 8th and 36th and thus was very convenient for getting around. About 6-8 minutes’ walk, you’ll get to Penn Station. Times Square is within walking distance. Good for NY lovers. The only negative remark was noise from the air conditioning system. Curtains weren’t quite good enough to keep the room all dark. A bit of noise from the street. But they are all acceptable: I had 4 nights’ good sleep. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
