80th Birthday Celebration

Unfortunately we waited 2 hours for our meal to come in the hotel restaurant! I had pre booked the meal for my husband’s 80th Birthday with the family . So it was very disappointing! There were 14 of us and the restaurant wasn’t at all busy! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

London visit

We went to London to go to Hyde Park for BST. We have stayed at the hotel before and enjoyed are last stay. Check in was swift by Christina and she upgraded us to a fabulous room on the top floor. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a secret garden at the back which is brilliant a little oasis the middle of London, which has pods you can hire and a man made bit of beach with loungers. Will definitely return on our next visit to London. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Faulty Club King Room

The least of expectation that when I book a room the general functions are working like Lights and AC. Clearly room 429 on 12th July 2019 wasnt, and Mr. Will provided me with unprofessional customer experience. The room AC was not working and I noticed a fan was on the table. It is not my first time here, infact I was recommending the hotel to my friends and I have been staying in Crowne Plaza since years ago. I went down to point out the issue, and a gentleman by the name of Mr. Will at reception on 12th July 2019 at 8:35 pm was very rude. He informed we are fully booked and you may take your money and leave if my "house"(referring to the hotel) is not meeting your expectation! This is a first time I hear this! Excuse me Mr. Will, but the basic function of a hotel room should be provided for my convenience. Clearly the AC was out of order!! I asked for the manager, and he said, I am the manager! and there will be no one to help you. Frankly, the experience was terrible. IHG Group is this your customer service? Is this treatment and answer acceptable?  Is he telling me I will refund you after a long day getting to the hotel a solution? I feel I will never stay again in this hotel. In summary: 1. Room AC failure! 2. Mr. Will was very not helpful and rude I would expect that I am told that the AC is not working instead of checking me in a faulty room from the beginning Occupants of Room 429 Abdulla Ahmed and Mubarak Hamad TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is a very well run property. I must commend Simon Wood who really made us feel welcome. He is a great asset to this property.The location is great and the staff fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great base

This lovely hotel is a great base for exploring London, especially The Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum, V&A museum and Science museum, which are all within walking distance. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We had to wait a while for our room to be ready, but we ended up with an accessible room, which had loads of room, and we had a complimentary drink each whilst we waited. The bed was very comfortable. My 6' tall husband was unable to stand up under the shower, as it was designed for wheelchair/sit down showers, but the shower could be taken off and used. We opted for a club room, which gave us use of the Club Lounge for breakfast, which was quite decent, but also for late afternoon complimentary drinks and canapes. I could've had a bottle of wine had I wanted to with no charge. The staff were superb, they couldn't do enough. Always with a smile. The beach and gardens area was lovely, although you had to go to the bar to order any food & drinks (they were brought to you at your table). The meeting pods are a great idea if you want something quirky. We ate in Umami, the main restaurant. The menu was completely wrong with the dietary indications such as gluten free, however, this was pointed out before we ordered and they were able to offer various options. When the food arrived it was delicious. All in all, a great base for London, with decent facilities. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
