Crowne Plaza Phoenix - Chandler Golf Resort

Great hotel

We are a traveling baseball team of two teams that traveled to Chandler from Bay Area in California. We arrived to the hotel after about a 25 minute drive from the airport. The location is surrounded by restaurants, stores and local access freeways and roads. The parents loved the outside seating area, patio and everything about the hotel. The kids loved the pool, the outside seating area where they can hang out. The people were nice and the location is great. When going back to Arizoan, we would choose to stay here again. I wouldn’t stay here for free

The good: Front desk staff and maintenance guy were friendly. The bad: This was our staycation choice to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Got to our room to find the air conditioner was broken and room couldn’t get cooler than 82°. Not a big deal - they moved us into an ‘upgraded room’. When we got to the new room we found it to be the exact same basic room as the first one. The AC cooled sufficiently but literally every 20 minutes throughout the entire night the AC would turn on and it sounded like a cross between someone violently breaking through the door and a jet engine spinning up and breaking apart. I am a heavy sleeper and I must have woken up 20 times. At 8am (in between AC rocket launches) we gave up trying to sleep with the banging and yelling of the construction workers. The AC filter in our 2nd room looks like it hasn’t been changed in 10 years - completed disgusting. This ‘upgraded’ room was right in the middle of the section of rooms they are remodeling the bathrooms. And don’t let ‘re-modeling’ fool you into thinking this will be a nice place to stay after the remodeling - they are only redoing the bathrooms. The bedroom areas are still old and dilapidated and the exterior and grounds are what you’d find at a 3rd rate apartment complex. We only paid $90 but I wouldn’t stay here for free - unless you don’t care about actually sleeping comfortably. Oh and they gave us 4 free alcoholic drink vouchers to ‘make good’ - but yeah - we don’t drink alcohol - but you didn’t bother to ask. I expect they will respond with some BS like ‘sorry about your experience - we are currently remodeling which is the reason for all your problems’. So I will address that here - your management is the problem - if you can’t ensure a pleasant stay - you shouldn’t be open. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Good location, so-so otherwise

The room was ok, but a little outdated. Air conditioning was noisy. Trash laying around on the grounds. Staff was fine. Many restaurants nearby. Pool was good. Golf course was closed for reseeding. Just ok. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Great pool

We came out for a family weekend and to spend time at the pool. Jordan the pool bar tender is great. She is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this location for a weekend family get away. The rooms are all newly renovated. Every room had a balcony. Very family friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Shannon the bar supervisor is absolutely the best! Her mixology skills are fantastic and she always remembers your name AND what you drink. We like to hang out with her whenever she's working, a good time is guaranteed! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
