Beautiful facility but service was non-existent.

Oct 30th, 2020

We checked in Thursday and left Sunday. We had no housekeeping service for our entire stay. We had wet towels, overflowing trash, paper coffee cups that we had to reuse our entire stay. Ever used a paper cup for 3 days? And the sink in the bathroom was clogged and took 30minutes to drain. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best Restaurant Experience

Oct 30th, 2020

This resort is beautiful and this relates to the front of the building, the lobby, and the view from the outdoor patio. The rooms are meh. We have Elite Spire status which would normally mean an amazing room. Our room was mediocre at best. Our fridge was in the middle of the room (although I we were thankful to have one). The bathroom was tight meaning two of you were not going in at the same time. It had an old resort feeling. The beds were comfortable and the room was super quiet and we were outside the elevator. Our view if you stood out on the balcony and leaned over was off a beautiful green area in one direction and the parking lot in the other direction. Straight out was the covered walkway that connects the wing we were on to the lobby. Again, Elite Spire status so I was somewhat surprised. I will not totally judge because there were 2 wedding parties the weekend were booked our stay and I am sure they booked well in advance. Ergo.. I am happy to have been able to have booked here and will totally book here next year. Now the to the great stuff. The restaurant staff was stupendous! I cannot brag or give them enough praises on them enough. We felt like we had known them forever. Ewa (pronounced Eva - from Poland) was like the best friend you had not seen in months and automatically caught up with. She was never without a smile or a kind word. She made us feel at home and never went a day without making a point of coming over to say hello even though she was extremely busy. She is a superstar. Kim and Joe were always good for a quick hello and great conversation. They gave us great insight on the area and where to go and where not to go. I watched them work a busy bar area and still remain calm, funny and professional. We had some interaction with John and Kat who were also extremely friendly and professional. This crew was a well oiled machine. If I was not staying at this resort I would make it a point to at least enjoy a cocktail or two with this amazing group of people on the outdoor patio. There was a beautiful fire pit to enjoy and an amazing sunset. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best hotel stay ever

Oct 22nd, 2020

When I made this reservation it was online from a picture. We've never been here before. What an EXCELLENT choice. Great location, super price, so many amenities, COVID compliant and just a top of line hotel. We met friends who made their reservations based on my choice and just couldn't believe what a great place it was. We dined at the Overlook Cafe for dinner (outside). Delicious food, very reasonable and a GREAT waiter. Loved her! Dined their again for breakfast too. Thanks for you hospitality and for making our stay so enjoyable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

More of a 3.5 out of 5

Oct 13th, 2020

This is an expansive resort with adventure sports facilities. We didn’t get to use the facilities because it was raining. The lobby is very large. It looks like a lodge up in the mountains with lots of wood and stone decor. There is a large bar in the lobby. Past it is the Overlook Restaurant. Given the hotel was so far removed from the road, we ate at the restaurant for breakfast. I was hesitant due to some of the bad reviews I saw. However, we had a great experience. The lump crab eggs benedict was really good, and we had attentive and personable service. They offer a shuttle to downtown for $5 RT per person, but it drops and picks up in only one spot. Hence, we wound up walking about 1/4 of a mile to dinner. Based on how crowded downtown was on a Friday night, the service was worth it despite the charge. The driver was really nice. The biggest reason I can’t give this a four or five is because of the difficulty getting to the room. There was no entrance close to the room. We had to grab luggage from our car in a crowded parking lot right in front of the lobby, roll the luggage cart around to the end of the arrival lane of the hotel due to no sidewalk through the center of the canopy, go down a long connecting hallway, jump on a small elevator that other people were vying to use that was only big enough for two people, actually go DOWN one floor the get to the SECOND FLOOR, and then roll the luggage cart the rest of the way down the hallway to the room. Also, the rooms are rather dated. Lots of brown and gold in this hotel. Comfort was fine, and the rooms were is relatively good shape. The bathroom was cramp though, and the closet was somewhat small. The patio door and porch were nice features. Not worth the over $300 they wanted though when you can stay somewhere newer and in downtown. Thank God I’m a fed and was able to get the government rate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Happy dog happy life...

Sep 8th, 2020

This resort is a bit older but it fit our needs as we were traveling with our dog and just spending one night. We spent the day at The Biltmore...the drive to The Biltmore was not bad at all...maybe 20 minutes roughly but gave us a bit of a tour of Asheville too...LOVED THE LOW PET FEE.. definitely the best in the area...truly pet friendly not rip you off because you have a furry friend lol...our room was close to the lobby and has been updated...sure it has popcorn ceilings but the beds are great and the room has been updated...there is even a place to sit outside on a small patio with a table...I would definitely stay here again...also the front desk receptionist was very nice...I called ahead and she assured me our room would be available right when we arrived and it was...very welcoming staff and an enjoyable stay...oh and a course The Biltmore as always was wonderful TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
