No security and was robbed

Jan 31st, 2021

I checked in and then left for two hours, when I returned someone was in my room and my key didn’t work on the door. My opinion an inside job. By the time the police got there they were gone with all my things. Only one person working at the hotel that night. The hotel says they are not liable for the theft. I’ve found other cases exactly the same in the past. The management didn’t offer refund or to pay for my things instead they say I must have left the door (shuts on it own) open. I realized when I returned home from my nightmare vacation that I booked a more expensive room on first floor but when checking In the person at the front desk immediately put us in that particular room. If you have other options for hotels please hear my warning, this hotel doesn’t care about the people staying there, just their money. Thank you TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Highly Recommended

Needed a place to stay for a night in Scottsdale. I chose this Holiday because of other recommendations. Obtained a really nice rate for a Friday night. Check in was fast and no hassle. Had a room with a living room, And bedroom with a television in both. Room was very clean and I felt safe in it from Covid. It was quiet and nice, bed was comfortable. It had a small refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely stay here again. Cannot lose by staying here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel shouldn't qualify for a Holiday Inn Express flag. Come and stay yourself and see. Everything is so old here. You name it , its all outdated. Bad customer service. I was so disappointed. Very old fixture & furniture. Come and stay and get disaapointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our Annual Visit

Oct 30th, 2020

Again, we stayed 8 nights while my husband played in a baseball tournament for the MSBL. We love this hotel's location to drive to all the spring training facilities where my husband plays. They way the rooms are set up is like a small apartment. There are 3 rooms...the bedroom with 2 beds connected with French doors to a TV room and then the bathroom. I like that the sink is outside of the shower/toilet area. We can both be using different facilities. In our first room the a.c. quit working so they moved us across the hall to the same type of room but with an upgrade...a small balcony overlooking the pool. We never used the balcony bc it was just too hot. The front desk is always really nice and helpful. They were supposed to clean our room twice a week bc of our long stay. But instead they respected that we didn't want anyone in the room bc of Covid. So everyday I would set our used washcloths and towels and bagged trash outside our door. I would call down to the front desk to request what we needed...trash liners, bath and hand towels and washcloths, tp and kleenex. It worked great. We felt safe and respected. The young gal that hands out breakfast is very courteous, nice and hard working. It was nice getting some breakfast to hold us over until lunch. They offered Jimmy Dean egg/ sausage/cheese breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, orange or apple juice, bananas, apples, warm cinnamon rolls, muffins and coffee. Lord willing, we hope to return next year. Thanks for the continued good service. That's why we return yearly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always a solid choice!

Oct 26th, 2020

This was my second stay at this property in the last three months. As with my last day, everything was perfect, and in my opinion one of the nicest Holiday Inn express properties I have stayed at. The way the rooms are configured, the beds are very far away from the hallway, so you never really hear any noise from the hallway. The front desk staff is amazing, Shelby took care of everything I needed at check-in and was super helpful and friendly. Employee of the year !! The breakfast area is modified a little bit, for these Covid times, all breakfast items are gathered up for you and given to you at your request, a pretty efficient operation, as well as a friendly breakfast attendant. I look forward to my next day at this property… Note: although listed as Old Town,it is a bit away from that section of Scottsdale, a short golf cart ride or put on your walking shoes and take a bit of a stroll. Enjoy! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
