The rate was listed at $79 ..I prepaid. Do i get my room. OH NO!!! I was not allowed to get my room until I paid a Mandatory $24.95 hospitality fee. What is this?? Then an another $25 was added for security fee. What? This was a shake down. I have seen the $51 charge above the quoted rate on my credit card. If I had not prepaid...I would have not stayed. I had no choice but to pay the add on fees since I had already paid. How have they gotten away with this? The room did not even have a blanket. Luckily I brought my own. The key was an app I had to install on my phone. Of course, it did not work. Hey folks, I could go on and on. Unbelievable rip off. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not Worth All The Hassle

I stayed here one night on a reservation made through Expedia. Unfortunately, Expedia seemed to leave off several details. At reception the girl told me I had to register and check in myself. This involved several repeated tries on my phone as nothing seemed to work. Next there is a $25 amenity fee. Expedia failed to include this apparently. And you have to pay this online also. I noticed while trying to do this that the site said the hotel would accept cash. I told the girl I would just pay the $25 cash to save time. However, she said it was $200 cash, as they needed a security deposit. After more tries I finally got the fee paid. Next when I asked for the room key, I was told I had to download an app for the key. More time wasted finding an app called OpenKey and fooling with that. Later when we tried to get OpenKey on another phone it would not work, as reception has to add extra phone numbers to the room. Reception failed to mention that at check in. More time wasted going back to clear that up. I stayed at this hotel in the past as I thought it was in an excellent location. The hotel sends me periodic emails about their activities and how much they want me to return for another visit as a valued customer. Obviously they lied. The deluxe king room was very bare and basic. It always took several tries to open the door with my phone key. I guess you are supposed to sleep in the car if your phone ever goes dead. No coffee maker. The room was in the very back of the building and all the other rooms seemed to be occupied by workers or long-term occupants. One man was giving haircuts on the second floor and had a line waiting. Men were leaning over the balcony drinking and talking loud. Rap music was abundant. Finally, you get 2 free drinks in the lounge area but everything I asked for did not seem to be included. Masked are required but no one was wearing one inside except the bartender. I should have looked at some recent reviews before booking the hotel again, but assumed I knew what I was getting. I have learned my lesson well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Worst hotel, staff I have EVER stayed at.

The absolute worst. I worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years in hotels from 4 star to crap hotel and have NEVER EVER been to a place such as thus. First: The manager doesnt show up til between 9:00-11am and was gone for the day before 4:00pm. Must be nice. And then....Breakfast was a white bag with one moldy orange and a gas station blueberry muffin. No drinks. The bed pillows on the king size bed were 4 travel pillows. Only got fresh towels 1 day & we stayed for 3 nights. Sofa bed unleepableae for my daughter. The CRAPPY "lounge" charges $12 for a 8 oz strawberry daquri well well liquor. Staff at front was rude and blew off my asking why they double charged my amenities fee ( which there r almost no amenities available anyway) and was only told they couldn't do anything about it. Light fixtures hanging off the wall. And the worst... My premium king room with pool view was on the pool side of the building but my view was of the dog "poop" park not the pool. Although you're required to wear a mask in the lobby, there are no other places where mask is required. They charge you $25/day for free drinks, chairs, bikes. This may be good for a family with a bunch of kids. The chairs have to be schlepped to the beach in 100 degree weather. The bikes just sat there. The common areas were littered with beer cans, cigarettes, etc. The pool water wasn't the cleanest and it was hot as hell. You couldn't cool off if you wanted to. Cigarettes and marijuana smoke all over. THE WORST was going in the lounge to claim my first 2 drinks and there were at least 2 dozen people NOT WEARING MASKS, including bartender. I was left with 8 drink vouchers - It was not safe at all. Office closes at 11 PM and all hell breaks loose and no one to call. Such a shame. Not adult friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Book this place only as a last resort.

Online booking only. Advertised room for $149 but added $25 extra for mostly unusable “amenities”. Tried to cancel immediately when the $25 showed up on the booking but was denied. Telephone staff was rude and very unaccommodating. If the room is $175 just say it’s $175. Slipping in extra charges and not giving customers a chance to back out is pretty sleazy business practices.
