Nasty!

Jul 22nd, 2019

I have traveled all over the world and I must say this hotel was the nastiest, worst stay I’ve ever had. My husband and I were in room 313 and turned the covers back and long black hair was all in the sheets. Many long black hairs. It was obvious that the sheets had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and I did have someone come to the room immediately and moved us to room 802. It was cleaner but I still removed 2 black hairs in the sheets in front of the hotel manager. I was disgusted. This hotel is super old and janky but I at least expected clean and we didn’t get that. The air in 802 didn’t work well which resulted in my husband and I waking up sweating during the night. We are exhausted as we head home on an early flight. Needless to say, don’t stay at this hotel. Old, faded and worn and ready for demolition and replacement.

This propperty has a greaat location in close proximity to the cruise terminal but its best days are far behind it. The tiny rooms have paper thin walls that are painted in depressing tones of multiple layers of grey paint (in a climate where it rains nearly every day) and street front rooms let in the sound of every passing vehicle. Days Inn Vancouver Downtown

Small room but decent for a short two-night trip. The only thing is that my room faces the outside where there’s a busy street and all could be heard at night which made for a difficult sleep. Free continental breakfast was a nice bonus though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location not much more.

This hotel is good if your staying in Vancouver before getting on a cruise. You can roll your luggage a few blocks to the Canadian Place terminal to get on the ship. Also the subway from the airport to downtown Vancouver terminal is walking distance to the hotel. They provide a moderate free made to order breakfast in the basement restaurant of eggs, hash browns and toast and coffee. A tiny elevator services the hotel. Beds are very short in length. Our room had a view of a roof and alley not very nice. The bathroom was small and had a tub and shower. Two nights will cost over $620 US. The price is not a value but Vancouver is not inexpensive. You can walk to Stanley Park, Gas town and China town from the hotel. I asked for a reduced rate because of the view and city workers power washing something just outside our windows during the day but the manager said it wasn't the hotels fault for the city noise. Great location in downtown

Jul 12th, 2019

The location was very convenient, the service was good, as was the breakfast. The rooms are quite small and a bit run down (e.g., some mold in the showers) but clean. Small lobby, good wifi, the elevator worked. Street noise was an issue. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
