This was not the worst hotel I stayed in but it sure is not the best Days Inn I stayed in. The staff was very nice and helpful which made up for the out of date hotel. Of course there was no hot breakfast due to COVID, which I do not quite understand because other hotels in the area are serving hot breakfast. The room was a bit dated. There were socket/cable covers off the wall in the room (major hazard). I was shocked that a microwave nor mini fridge was offered in the room. Even some of the cheapest hotels offer a microwave and fridge in the room. This was a major inconvenience as my boyfriend had dietary/medical needs. We did not go to the pool as it was indoor but we had to walk outside the hotel to get to it. (BAD DESIGN ON THE HOTEL) the outdoor pool was close (Pool was empty and in need of major cleaning before reopening) I can say that Ms. Ruth our housekeeping was delightful. I asked her about the microwave and she did tell me that had one in the front that everyone could use. Overall not a total disaster but definitely not what I am use to at other hotels. If you are thinking about staying here, I would say spend a couple extra dollars and go next door to Hampton Inn or to Country inn. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My mom & niece came to the area to visit for 4 days. They wanted a relaxing atmosphere with a pool & to be able to have some down time. I went to visit & we left for lunch. When we came back to check out the pool, that was the first of the horrors we discovered. The pool looked like a cesspool of nasty! Even if it had been nice, there were no ladders. In the room, there was black mold on the windows, around & under the toilet lid, & my niece had to clean the tub before she could take a shower. The laundry room was disgusting as was the area where the ice bin & drink machine were. Rotting wood, mold, rust, among other disgusting issues. My niece took photos in case they gave her a hard time when they checked out immediately. The decided to go to another hotel, which ended up being so much nicer, cleaner, & relaxing. My mom has COPD & any mold could be detrimental to her health. I'm surprised they are even allowed to open given the strict guidelines for public use amid the C19 issues right now. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! STAY AWAY!!! Spend the extra & get a safe environment to enjoy your stay. OH & the elevator in the lobby was out of order. That felt real safe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I arrived at my hotel and thought it was a very nice room at first until I realize the light in the right corner of the room was not working then I look next to one of the beds in the carpet in the wall was peeling then I decided to take the pillowcases off and check the pillows and they all had yellow stains and we’re looking nasty then I decided to lift the mattress pad off in the mattress pad and the mattress were both nasty and had crumbs I also looked on the other bed and it was the same case there was also a roach in the hallway and someone was smoking in the hotel in the whole thing stunk there is also supposed to be a rule that you cannot smoke in the hotel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Over all this was a good place to stay regardless of Coronavirus. I will stay again when virus is not around. Location is good with places to eat. My main reason for going was the Jacuzzi in the room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed at: from July 4-July 6 119 Bypass Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185, United States It was prepaid, when we got to the room, I went to take a shower and the towels had stains on them, the bed sheets were not very clean, the carpet had stains, the curtains were dirty. I called American Express and asked to cancel my reservation. They called the hotel and the owner refused to cancel the reservations. He told me that he will move me to a different room and bring me clean towels. He did do that. However, even in the other room, the carpet was stained, curtains were dirty, and there were sugar ants all over the night stand. When I checked out, I was charged for the room even though it was prepaid. So, I had to call American Express and ask them about the charges. Again, they called the hotel and was told that a refund will be put back on my card. Try not to stay at this Days Inn, there is another Days Inn a few blocks from this one. It looked better and more updated. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
