The hotel is beautiful and clean, and the staff is great. The property location is the reason we've always wanted to stay here, though. As it happens, that's the only thing we liked about it. The 1 bedroom villa was not to our liking. The furniture was uncomfortable. Everything was loud: the HVAC intake, the washer, the dryer, the toilet. It has been like living in an industrial building. The pool closes at 8:00. The restaurants on the boardwalk close by 10pm unless you want burgers and fries or barely edible pizza. The room is configured weird. There's always a door in the way. The bathroom is huge but there isn't room in the living space for a desk. The kitchen has a pathetic refrigerator and there isn't enough light to use the stove. I had to use my phone's light to see to make breakfast. The thermostat doesn't have any temperatures, just cold and warm and a slider between them. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Boardwalk Villas, a must do.
Mar 11th, 2020
We have wanted to stay at Boardwalk Villas for more than a decade and finally managed to do it in February 2020, and I must say we were not disappointed. Staying here was all we expected and a little bit more, the staff were fabulous which lifted it that extra notch. Beach club villas and yacht club are both within 10 minutes walk along the boardwalk so we had 3 different places to choose from to eat. The cupcakes are a must if you visit, they are so nice it became our nightly ritual to buy a cupcake and eat it at one of the many different spots with an amazing view of the 3 hotels and lake.....can still see it in my minds eye! Well done Disney, thanks for a great experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Already booked to go back!

This hotel is an experience in itself. Such a welcoming hotel full of character and luxury whilst also spreading a bit of the Disney Magic. We have stayed here 12 times now as Disney Vacation Club members so it’s about time we wrote a review. We tend to stay in a 2 bed villa which is perfect for a larger family break. A view overlooking the Boardwalk also offers beautiful views of the lake and you can really take in the Boardwalk atmosphere and see the fireworks from EPCOT in the evening. Free bus transport is included to all Disney Parks and Downtown Disney and boat transport to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios - walking paths are also available to these two parks. Staff are friendly and will go over and above to help you. The hotel is spotlessly clean and all facilities are superb. Looking forward to making many more happy memories with our family here. Great Christmas Trip
Feb 16th, 2020
We stayed 5 nights in a two bedroom villa over Christmas vacation and had a wonderful time! We rented DVC points - worked beautifully. We are a family of four (with two teenagers). The villas are fantastic. Plenty of room to spread out, great kitchens, and the washer/dryer are very helpful. We had some rain while we were there, and it was great to know we had a dryer “at home” to throw our wet stuff in. We were there over Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and we even put up a tinsel “tree” in our living room. Perfect! The resort is lovely, the pool is fun, amenities are top notch, but hands down the best aspect is its location. We walked into Epcot every night for dinner (if you go at peak time, be sure to have reservations - we did, and were very glad!). Epcot also had fun food stands out at each of the countries celebrating little holiday bites (as well as cookies and cocktails) - a fun way to grab lunch, or an appetizer. The main reason we came this year was to visit Galaxy’s Edge (and try to get on Rise of the Resistance). DBV is the perfect home base. It’s an easy walk over to Hollywood Studios (boat ride is also convenient). We made the (very) early morning trek over twice to get a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. We got on the ride both times - it’s a blast. We were grateful for our close proximity to the park which allowed us the flexibility to go back and forth as time (and fatigue) allowed. We loved our holiday stay and can’t wait to return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
