Mar 24th, 2020

I love this resort the staff is so kind the hotel is beautiful and the food is amazing it is very quick transportation to magic kingdom and other parks just hop on the monorail the pool is beautiful and my favorite part about this hotel is how magical and exciting the staff makes the trip for the kids just one comment means the world to a kid one kid came off the monorail and a staff member saw the little girl in a princess outfit and said welcome princess Cinderella and the kid smiled and hugged the kind lady and I saw many things like that every day there that is not there job but the hotel does such a great job making sure that is how it is also the hotel is very clean TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

a great resort

Mar 19th, 2020

we only stayed one night and went to Disney world. I wish we had more time to spend at the resort as it was so just superb. We took the yoga class in the morning with the yoga instructor Tracy, who was lovely. A great way to start the day and it was a really good 30 minutes of stretching and yoga. I would definitely come again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The concierge level is worth every penny! Food and drinks accessible most of all day! There are soft drinks, juice, water, alcoholic beverages and more. Rooms are so nice and clean! It is quiet. They have entertainment in the gorgeous lobby daily. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Christmas Trip 2019

Mar 11th, 2020

In December 2019, we had our dream trip to Disney World and The Grand Floridian. We checked in super early in the morning. Our room wasn't ready yet, but we had plans to be at Animal Kingdom for opening, so no worries there. At around 11 AM I received a text and app notification that our room was ready. After a few more hours in the park we made our way back to the resort to unpack. Images from each park circle through on the tv along with park hours, the weather, and music. I had heard a lot of great things about the building we were in so my first stop was actually to our balcony. WOW!!! We had a direct view of the Contemporary resort and off to the left there was Cinderella's Castle!!! Every night we were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony and it was a highlight of our trip for sure. Having our one year old daughter with us, it just wasn't practical to try seeing the fireworks in the park. Being able to set up on the balcony and relax in our pjs and watch was so much better. The staff are amazing, the decor is beautiful, the grounds expertly maintained, and a HUGE shout out to MouseKeeping. They left adorable scenes everyday involving our daughter's toys. I cannot imagine a better Disney resort than the Grand Floridian. Our next trip we will come back here and hopefully to the same room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel with nice views

Mar 7th, 2020

My husband won a 2 night trip here at work so we decided to extend it an additional 2 nights at a discounted rate for a total of 4 nights. Below are some pros and cons: Pros: *Very personal staff. A nice touch was being greeted by name when we stepped off the Magical Express buss :-). It was also wonderful to check in at 10:30 on our arrival! *Beautiful views! The first night after the party we watched the fireworks from the marina. It was amazing as the music was playing too!! The next night we watched the fireworks from our bed though the view was slightly obstructed by the restaurant. *Nice rooms with a comfortable bed and shower. *Very close to Magical Kingdom. Only 1 stop on the monorail. Good transportation system to go to the other parks and disney springs. Cons: *The restaurants have terrible quality food and are insanely expensive. The service was also very bad. Disappointed :-( *The hotel is close to Magic Kingdom but a 20 min or more drive from everything else including the other parks (epcot, hollywood studios, animal kingdom) as well as restaurants and shopping (Disney Springs). I forgot makeup remover and the stores on site didn't have any. Needed to travel 25 mins away for a pharmacy store. This was a big con for us. *No sound proofing. Fortunately every night but the last one we had silence but the last night we could hear everything with the family next door. Overall this is a very nice hotel but for us it wasn't super convenient. I would probably have picked a hotel near Disney Springs as it seems to be a little better located for our tastes. If you plan to spend majority of time at Magic Kingdom then this may be a good pick for you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
