Quiet and Classy

Jul 20th, 2020

Disney's Yacht Club Resort - Walt Disney World New England-style yacht club at this lakeside hotel. Category - High around $450 usd a night (we used our Annual Pass and received 35% off) Transportation Options - Disney Bus, Boat and Skyliner Water View Room sleeps 5 - 2 Queen Beds and 1 Day Bed This is a huge resort! We stayed here for a week. The Yacht and Beach Club are separate however they are joined in the middle, share all restaurants and amenities. We paid for a 'Water View' on this stay. Dining here you will find * Cape May - Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet - * Cape May - Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast * Beaches and Cream * Yachtsman Steakhouse * Ale & Compass Lounge * Crew's Cup Lounge * Martha's Vineyard * The Market at Ale & Compass * Beach Club Marketplace * Hurricane Hanna's Waterside Bar and Grill Recreation * 2 Pools * Pool Side Cabanas Rentals * Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf * Pirate Adventure Cruise * Resort Campfire Activities * Movie Under the Stars * Motorised Boat Rentals This resort is priced high for a few reasons, besides the beautifully themed rooms it has some of Walt Disney Worlds most popular restaurants. It is easy walking distance to Epcot, The BoardWalk and a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios. We prefer The Yacht Club to The Beach Club for a number of reasons; the rooms are cheaper, huge balconies with fantastic views. The beds are super soft, their foyer is well themed and quiet, not like the ciaos you find at the Beach Club. The pool is huge with a lot of difference areas to sit including a huge pirate boat ship wreak water slide that you have to walk out of the pool area to get to it. It is the only pool at Disney to have a sand bottom and 'beach' area to play. If you purchase food at the bar 'Hurricane Hanna's Waterside Bar and Grill' your meal also comes with a cute free bucket and spade. This resort is huge and the pool requires all Magic Bands scanned and you receive a colour wristband for the day. Finally the pool has resident ducks that at times swim in the pool from the lake also known as 'Water Chickens' at Disney. Beautifully themed gardens everywhere. There is a lot to see and do. Christmas time they have a huge themed Christmas train set. #disneyfamilymadness #waltdisneyworld TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Upscale and Elegant

Jul 6th, 2020

Stayed here for a business trip. This is a very elegant resort with the entire yacht decor going on. Loved the Disney touches in the room. Great location and proximity to Epcot. There are a plethora of restaurants to choose from that are very good in the area. Loved our stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location and rooms

Jun 28th, 2020

We were four adults in a regular room and never felt like it was super crowded. I loved the refurbishments! For example the lights inside the closet which is handy because the wood is dark. Loved the sliding door for the bathroom that blocked out noise and light which is convenient when people are still asleep in the early morning or are trying to go to sleep at night. The sand bottom pool was handy when trying to massage your feet from walking the 10+ miles a day! The only issue we encountered was a 1+ wait for a bus to MK on our last day to go to MNSSHP. My fiancé and I were heading to the parks a couple of hours before our friends since they were trying to pack up for our departure the next morning but they only ended up getting to the parks 30 minutes after us since we had to wait for the bus for quite a while. Another issue as a condescending CM when we arrived. We did online check-in and every time I have done that before I have always received a text when my room was ready and never went to the front desk. We had to go to the front desk because a magic band at our party wasn't working properly and we needed just to get it fixed. The lady at the front desk was super condescending and told us good things we came there because with online check-in we never would've gotten a room assignment. Ironically while waiting in line we did receive a text about our room that I didn't see until after we left the front desk but the room number was different than the one she gave us. Just left a bitter taste in our mouth at the beginning of the trip. Always kind of shocks you when a CM is rude. Our last issue was that our phone would ring CONSTANTLY in the middle of the night. We went to the front desk after the first morning and they said they would stop all calls but it continued the rest of the trip even after letting the front desk know each morning. Other than that I will definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The location is great, walking distance for Epcot and Hollywood studios, although transport if there if you need it. Swimming pool is huge and lots to do. Not quite 5 stars as the walls are a bit thin so can get noisy and we didn't find the restaurants quite as good as some others in Disney. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

New Year on Disney Property

Apr 18th, 2020

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yacht club, we have a house in the vicinity, however we wanted to experience New Year's Eve on Disney property and have access to their range of restaurants. The hotel was very comfortable and all the cast members very hospitable, I use a wheelchair and have major underlying health issues so being able to pop back to the hotel for rest and recuperation with ease was not just a luxury but a must, especially as car park queues and their related park gates can be extensive. The room was lovely, although I did struggle a bit with the size of my chair, it's also annoying that most accessible rooms are on the ground floor, so we only had a view of the garden and rear lobby at street level. As the experience was at peak time it was at a premium cost, we added in a luxury meal plan, that said we still spent a small fortune on extras and tips, that would have paid for an average families vacation at another resort, really enjoyed it at the tim, although I would add it's not good value for money TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
