The Best Way to See Disney!

Jan 26th, 2020

Its being in the Magical World of Disney the entire time... 24 hours a day! We have to say though, that all of the Disney Hotels are amazing... and there is a reason they sell out fast. Book early. And they have huge rooms with multiple rooms and beds so you can bring large families. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A great base for visiting Disneyland

Jan 25th, 2020

A great base for visiting Disneyland. The monorail to Tomorrow Land is very close. The guest relations staff in particular were excellent (they sorted a problem for us with a booking elsewhere) but we were impressed by all the Disneyland staff. Our only improvement suggestion is to add a better fine dining location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The beat hotel at Disneyland

Jan 24th, 2020

Honestly I had never really thought of staying at the Disneyland Hotel when the Grand Californian was so much closer, until I did stay there and wow; it was amazing! First the rooms were amazing. They felt so much bigger than the Grand Californian (GC) and they are! Now most do not have balconies so that may be a little of the space, but with floor to ceiling windows you don’t need a balcony! The beds here were the most comfortable beds I have slept on in any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The bathroom was awesome how it had a separate room just for the potty, the counter was huge, and there was a shelf to put things on below it too. My only negative was there isn’t really places to sit outside the bed, but I’m ok with that. Next the proximity to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park was fine. You can take the monorail right in to Fantasy Land in Disneyland, but really it never took more than 10 minutes to walk there. In comparison the Grand Californian is actually in Disney California Adventure Park, but that being said the Grand is a massive hotel and (depending on your room location) it could still take 5-10 minutes to get to the park. So location wasn’t perfect, but wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. Now where this hotel shines the amenities and restaurants! The pools here are a very good size (we thought the pools at the Grand were tiny in comparison) and who doesn’t like the monorail slide?! Goofy’s Kitchen was an amazing character dinner, the iconic Trader Sam’s is located at this hotel and the Tangaroa Terrace serves my favorite ramen on property; plus you can get a Dole Whip right at your hotel so that’s always a bonus for me! We didn’t eat at Steakhouse 55, but we met some people that did and they loved it! This place doesn’t disappoint in the amenities and restaurants department! The intangible of this hotel is the magic. It’s the magic of the different lands of Disneyland brought together in the towers. It’s seeing the art and topiaries everywhere. It’s the little touches like the tea cup chairs in the lobby, all the characters that roam around the hotel surprising guests, the Mickey hands holding the lights in the bathroom and the fireworks over your bed. This hotel had a very classic Disney feel that’s undeniable from the moment you arrive. This hotel gives you “the feels” from the start and that’s why the intangibles put this one over the top for me! I’ve seen other reviews slamming this hotel for not being as modern as The Grand, but I couldn’t disagree more. It’s modern and classic just like Mickey Mouse himself. Also don’t let the distance deter you, it’s mostly a flat walk in to the parks and I’d call it an easy walk for most. Give this hotel a shot next time you visit Disneyland and you won’t regret it! Not enough Disney Magic

Jan 23rd, 2020

I stayed for the second time & was very disappointed. The last time I stayed was about 12 years ago. Back then you could feel the Disney Magic. Characters walking around greeting the kids. The pool was a pirate ship, the toilets were called Lost boys etc etc etc. The bathroom products were small bottles with Mickey Heads on them. This time there were hardly any characters around (we were there for 3 days). The swimming pool was just a pool. The bath products were just products,.... I feel for the money that we paid it was not good value & very overrated ....Would not stay again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disneyland Hotel

Jan 23rd, 2020

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in early January 2020. The staff were so friendly and accomodating it truly is a magical place. All our needs were attended to and the ability to charge everything back to the room was very handy. The early access 7am to California Disney Park on the 2nd morning allowed us to use our fast pass and tick off all rides we wanted at both the theme parks. Thanks for an amazing 2 nights.
