So, Disney's Polynesian resort only has studio rooms and the bungalows. The bungalows are way too expensive for us. So with that said, we are a family of 5 and opted for two adjoining rooms. I have to say that we enjoyed the theming and the convenience of the monorail. We truly enjoyed watching the fireworks from the pool. So 5 stars for all that. However, our rooms were a bit cramped and very dark. The showers were not cleaned properly. There was evidence of mold shower floor and a nest of hair on the shower walls. For this I give it 1 star. I expect more out of Disney. So, overall I give this resort 3 starts TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My birthday visit

Jul 17th, 2019

We were supposed to be in Maui this week but due to airport closures and fires we got cancelled. So here we are having a good enough fun great time in vintage Hawaii like splendid . I so happy we were able to do this . Not Maui but great fake Hawaii. Mostly Good restaurants and very hospitable . My critics are: not enough lounge chairs , umbrellas, and shade at the pools . At 95 degrees a skin safety issue I think . And secondly we had a not good meal and didn’t feel well after leaving our lunch and know how to report it . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Hotel

Jul 14th, 2019

The Polynesian Village is a great hotel, has convenient access to the monorail to travel to other resorts or the parks. Beautiful Hawaiian style interior, cool restaurants including milo and stitch character breakfast. Cool pool area. Don’t miss getting a dole whip on the rear veranda of the hotel. Best Disney Resort!

Jul 14th, 2019

I was so incredibly impressed with this resort. We stayed here from July 6-July 11th. One night in a regular room (pool/marina view) and then in a deluxe villa. From start to finish, this was the BEST stay I have ever had at a Disney resort! Our check in was fantastic and I have Scott to thank for that. We got the exact location we requested and it was fabulous. Third floor in Samoa offers a great pool view and the stunning Grand Floridian in the background. The room was so clean and spacious. The next day we moved to Tokelau to a villa with a view of the quiet pool. Our room was ready early and it was so fabulous. My son loved both of the pools and everyone working there is so friendly and warm! A shout out to Arielle who we met in the Ceremonial House. She welcomed us and talked to us for quite a while our room was being made ready. Also thank you to Hiram, Bell Services, whose warm and gracious smile was so kind and helpful! This resort is so incredibly relaxing and the grounds are so wonderfully kept up. We loved being able to walk to the monorail and be anywhere pretty quickly. Another huge perk is you can watch the nightly fireworks at the Lava Pool! I felt so at home here and I cannot wait to return. Polynesian is a gem!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not worth the money

Jul 13th, 2019

This was a nice resort but not worth how much it cost. The only real benefit was having the rail to other parks right there. If you have to take the bus it isn’t worth it. Grab an Uber! Later we stayed at a condo and Ubered which was much better. Much less expensive, more room and faster into parks! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
