Never Again

Feb 19th, 2020

I had never stayed at any of Disney resorts nor have I visited Disney, this was my first time and I was shocked. I arrived and waited 20 minutes at valet finally i walked over to front ( I was super cheerful) said hi how are you? (Jouleen from Kissimmee Fl) looked at me with mad look and said “what do you need”? WOW I expected the Disney welcome experience nope never got it! I did complain and went on with my trip.. few things I didn’t like if you call front desk from your room it take 20 minutes to get someone on the phone and it’s not even front desk!! Only good thing was room service food was great but took no joke 85 minutes to get to our room, for what you pay for it’s not worth it.. i have gone to universal Studios and Islands of adventure stayed at all of their hotels they pull out the red carpet for you they take good care of you this is not what I got at Disney Polynesian I got the total opposite! To end my vacation I went to pick up my car yet again I handed her my ticket she grabbed my ticket didn’t look at my face didn’t say a word and walked away. wow therefore, I will never stay here again the first person you see when you arrive to a hotel is your first impression of that hotel and if your valet people are miserable and not happy there then they should not be working there.. A Walkthrough on Thanksgiving week!

Feb 11th, 2020

Because our family lives all over Florida , we decided to meet at a central location during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Some of our family members didn’t have the park entrance tickets. Some of us did , so we went to the great Disney Hotel Resorts to see the Christmas Decorations! They are always fabulous ! My family have been Charter Members of Disney , since it opened in Florida. Mother and Dad always bought us Annual Passes for us and our kids , too ! When we were there on Nov. 2019 , we had a pic taken with all of us for free with Pluto and we put it on our annual Christmas Card . Memories will always be forever! 😁👌💕 Thank you , Disney ! The reason you stay at a Disney resort

Feb 10th, 2020

Of the three Disney resorts on the monorail, there’s really only one that rises above the rest. The Grand Floridian is very pretty, but a bit too nice. The contemporary looks like something the Soviet’s would have built. The Polynesian? Perfect. From the beautiful entryway, with waterfalls and it’s awesome South Pacific vibe, to the expansive lobby, this hotel is great. Staff are attentive, friendly, and always available. Restaurants are good, Ohana, the bigger of the two main restaurants is excellent, as is Kona. Captain Cook’s is a quick service spot, and was not my favorite. Rooms were spacious and clean, with good maid service. Plenty of options for the kids too, including an excellent pool and hot tub. The bottom line is that if you can get a reservation, do it. You will not be disappointed! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

SO DISAPPOINTED

Feb 9th, 2020

We decided to stay at the Polynesian after reading reviews and deciding that it would be convenient to take an infant to Disney for her first time. We arrived at the gate and the security officer was so nice and welcoming I really thought we were going to have a wonderful experience. However due to the fact that they let anyone come inside there wasn’t any parking we were driving around the parking lot until someone left(weren’t guest they were parking there to use the monorail) okay so we start walking towards the entrance with all our bags and stroller and not one of the guys outside offered to help with our bags.... we went in to check in and WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE the guy in the front desk that helped us check in couldn't even find our reservation... he was rude and very unhelpful. I’m carrying a 5 month old and we were checking in for almost an hour because he couldn’t find the reservation and was clueless about check in then we purchased our one day Disney ticket with him for the following day which later I realized he put the wrong date on the ticket after getting to the park and trying to get in. Anyways the lobby is packed with non guests and guests as well we walked to our room standard view, the carpet is so gross, the headboard was broken, the bathroom was dirty I had to put a towel on the floor to take a shower. I am nursing my baby so I get very thirsty and when I went to buy water on the first and third floor the machines were both sold out I had to send my husband at 2 AM to a gas station to buy water. The day after returning to the hotel from Disney world our magic bands to open the door wasn’t working..... imagine carrying two children all day and when you get to the room your key is not working and the lobby is 10 min walk when we get back to the lobby it’s because the first front desk messed up our reservation dates NOT SURPRISED he was clueless and even got our Disney tickets wrong. Overall it was a terrible experience and I do not plan on ever going back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Girls Trip

Feb 6th, 2020

I loved this hotel! I went with a group of moms and we were celebrating our kids graduations. We stayed in a DVC studio room that overlooked the water. It was beautiful! The room was plenty big enough for 3 woman for 10 days! We watched the Magic Kingdom Fireworks from our balcony. We did eat at the Kona cafe, and that was the only disappointment. The food was fine but our waiter was awful. Being on the monorail line was excellent and so convenient. We took the fairy over one day. I would definitely stay there again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
