Dolder restaurant (doldski salty)

Aug 1st, 2018

Where should I start only one good restaurant with over the moon prices I asked the waiter for the bill and he just starred at me as if he was away with the fairies 🧚‍♀️ 2 minutes later he returned from his intergalactic journey The food was soooooo over priced A pot of hot water was 8 € wow!!!! Can’t believe that The buffet is very expensive and isn’t worth it I don’t recommend eating in the dolder restaurant Hope u won’t repeat the same mistake like me and save money Your tour guide , Garry Hopson This is the main Babstan TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Old fashion retro hotel, good that it will be dismantelrd soon and rebuild to something better.

Sep 25th, 2016

Very expensive old hotel from the seventies, worn, noisy, uncomfortable, but... a great view to the Zurich Lake. and has a retro heated indoor pool that i enjoyed as a passionate swimmer. I looks and feels like 1 to 3 Star hotel, the offered room rate was around 500CHF for the night, unbelievable! All looks and feels like a hotel(and it is) from the 1970ties. A relief was to see the model for the new hotel, to be built soon in the same place. There was no space in the noble Dolder Grand, where we stay normally. But the price for the room in the Dolder Waldhouse Hotel should have been max.120CHF and not 500. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely and quiet hotel in wooded area

Sep 3rd, 2016

We stayed for 3 nights during our August vacation. Rooms were spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake. We also had a small kitchen with a frig and a large hot plate for simple meals. Loved the rustic location! It is located out of town beside the Dolder Park and Zoo. They provide a free shuttle each hour that goes to and from the city to a central point. With free parking we simply left our car and shuttled into Zurich. Great restaurant and spa are also available. Staff were helpful and addressed many of our questions about Zurich. Be aware that hotel has no AC. It was warm while we were there but good ventilation made it workable. All in all, it was a great choice if you don't mind being away from town center! Good hotel, great views, lovely pool but is it ever ugly!

Aug 3rd, 2016

High above the hustle and bustle of town, but 10 minutes away from the centre by funicular which stops right in front, The ugly concrete facade which looks like subsidised housing hides a nicer interior with very comfortable rooms with small kitchenette. Ours had a breath-taking view of the city and lake from the balcony. Good-sized pool and spa area. Small forest with lovely walks up to the much grander Dolder Grand Hotel (10 minutes' walk). Downsides: Standard breakfast buffet in a room with no ambiance, in fact there is a very anonymous feel in all public areas, like a conference hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Huge and confortable rooms

Jul 10th, 2016

Wonderful location at the top of a hill, with a good view of the city. It's gong to be closed for a complete reconstruction. In the meantime, it offers very large and confortable rooms (I'm ready to bet they'll be downsized...), some of them with cooking facilities. Restaurant in the average, considering it's in Switzerland. Recommended. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
