Nothing positive about this hotel
Jul 24th, 2020
Overall a bad hotel experience. Man at the front desk was not wearing a mask and came around desk to speak with me, so was extremely close to me. Anther girl behind the desk had a mask on but it was below her mouth so served no purposes at all. When I made the reservation I asked for a room with 2 double beds and when I checked in I was told that there were no double rooms available. I was told there was a pullout bed. I would have picked a different hotel had I known that when booking. I asked about sheets for the pullout and was told they were in the closet of the room. We got up to the room and our room did not have the "seal" indicating that it was cleaned and it wasn't the room that the app indicated I was check in to, so I went back to the front desk and explained that the room didn't have the "cleaning seal". I asked for a different room, but their answer was to just have someone go up and put a seal on the door. It was obvious I was not going to be moved and a sticker wasn't going to solve the problem if the room was not cleaned properly, so when I got to the room I had to clean the room with the wipes that I brought with me. The room was not clean at all. I did my best to clean it but things like the light switch in the bathroom were black and dirty. The shower would back up so you were standing in water when you took a shower. The bed was lumpy. Anyways, when we got into the room, and after cleaning it, we tried to set up the pullout bed and there were not sheets/pillows anywhere in the room. I called the front desk and was told someone would bring them up. 30 minutes later no one had come so I called again and was told to send someone down to get them. I'm not sure if we were supposed to get a breakfast, but nothing was offered. And as a trivial note, Doubletree is known for their cookies and they were offered to us during our stay. Overall, not a pleasant experience. I don't have anything positive to say about this property. Will definitely not be staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing Front Desk Clerks

I can’t say that I’ve ever had a negative night here at this establishment. The beds are super comfy, the front desk staff is eager and extremely friendly to assist you with any type of accommodation you may need as well. Tion and Charlie happily helped me at any hour with my many request, and at times I can be needy. They have a shuttle to and from the airport or to restaurants near by, which is a great to have during these times. I will definitely be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Park and Fly
Mar 19th, 2020
We stayed at the Doubletree because of it's park and ride feature. We had a 5 AM flight and needed to be at BWI early. The Doubletree offers an excellent park and fly options that runs 24/7 to and from the airport. The hotel itself is a real value as well. It's relatively new and consists of two towers. We arrived later in the evening before our flight and were able to check in quickly and efficiently. The room (on the fifth floor) was comfortable and relatively large. There was a king size bed, a relatively large refridgerator, a good coffee maker (I think Keurig style), and a microwave (which we did not use). The hotel offered a good selection of coffees. The bath was a shower which is easier and much faster to use. The towels were large and reasonably fluffy. We got a good nights sleep, even though it ended at 2 AM. There was no time for breakfast, but the Doubletree has one of the nicest lobby shops I've ever seen with a wide selection of foods. There is also a bar in the lobby and a restaurant, which we did not have time to use. There is an auxiliary seating area down the hall and near the elevators to the towers that might also be used as a satellite bar (there is a television and what looked like a portable bar along with seating). The trip to and from the Airport was carried out smoothly despite the time when we left. The van was read exactly on schedule (it runs on the hour and half hour). Coming back we had to wait outside at BWI (there are three pick up points for hotel shuttles and we used the first one outside Door 1 (Southwest). The driver was close to on time and helped with the luggage. He dropped us off at our car. All of the staff that we met (there were few given that we were kind of in and out) were cheerful and helpful. I would recommend the Doubletree for park and fly and for others having occasion to stay in the BWI area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel is much better that the other hotel I used to use when flying out of BWI. The bar and restaurant were very nice. Location is great. Staff was very good. Only issue was ac/heat was a bit noisy. Remedied that by turning it off. Didn't need it anyway. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Be Sure the Shuttle Works for You
Feb 27th, 2020
I stay in this district frequently, preferring to catch the early flights back to the west coast on my frequent trips to Baltimore. I mostly stay at Hilton properties. I was glad there was a restaurant right in the hotel, as it was cold and windy outside. On a warmer day I would have ventured over to Maiwand Kabob for a wonderful meal. The food was OK, portions a little small considering the price. My real beef with the Doubletree concerns their shuttle service. I inquired at check-in if I could make a reservation for the shuttle. Well no, they don't do that. It is first-come, first-serve, so get down here early. And, by the way it only runs once an hour. Worried about catching the 5 AM shuttle, I get down to the lobby at twenty minutes before the hour, and there are all ready several people milling around, awaiting the shuttle. I do a quick count and determine that there are enough seats to accommodate all of us. The shuttle pulls up around ten of five and the driver hops out. He announces that he won't be boarding anyone until 5 o'clock sharp. By now, though, there seem to be more people than can be accommodated. Most folks stay queued outside in the 20 degree weather to ensure their seat on the shuttle. As promised, the driver finally comes out of 5 - but with him are five airline personnel and their luggage. He announces that the airline folks take precedence (so forget the first come / first served policy articulated at the front desk). Clearly now, several people are going to be left out of this trip over to the airport. When guests question him about how and why they were going to get to the airport, he points to another van in the parking lot (not even yet started up) saying that another driver would be there soon and would get everyone over to the airport (eventually). The hotel was fine, the staff friendly if somewhat ill informed regarding the operation of the airport shuttle. I've stayed at eight or nine other hotels in this Linthicum Heights area and everyone one of them does a better job managing their shuttle service than this place - even the Red Roof Inn, though I won't be staying there again for other reasons.
