Very convenient location to the Biltmore Estate

Jul 5th, 2020

The property itself is average, but still a reasonable value for the rates charged. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the lobby is inviting. The location is very close to the Biltmore Estate entrance and is just off the interstate. The highlight of our stay was Carla Morris. Not only was she a pleasure to talk to, but she is very knowledgeable of the Biltmore Estate and the surrounding property. We came to Asheville to visit Biltmore, but ended up learning more about the property from Carla. She is a tremendous asset to this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel is very highly recommended. Five minute very pleasant stroll to Biltmore Village for dining and shopping. Peacefully eryrelaxing hotel setting. Beautiful gardens and grounds. Excellent staff. I felt that all our wants and needs were met seamlessly. Chief Jose prepared wonderful to order breakfast. This hotel will now be our preferred Hilton vacation and business stay property in Asheville NC. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not impressed

Jun 30th, 2020

Room (218) was dark and musty, and carpet was sticky. Wallpaper, curtains and furnishings all looked out of place and out of date. Sadly overdue for a serious makeover. For the price charged, and considering this is a "Doubletree," I expected more. I believe the website pictures are from the newer tower, but the old hotel feels sad and neglected. We ended our stay a day early and moved to another property in town to salvage our time in Asheville. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not worth the Money

Jun 21st, 2020

I was traveling with my dog so this came up on Hilton's website for pet friendly.. The room was old and worn. The pet area had poop bags all on the ground. The can was full.. It stayed this way durning my stay. The grounds had trash everywhere. Dead plants in the front. No attention to detail. What a waste of money.. It not worth the $.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean & pleasant stay - even amid covid pandemic

Jun 10th, 2020

We stayed here toward the end of May, after the economy was partially reopened. We were concerned about staying at a hotel, but this turned out to be perfect for us (plus I am not a camping type of girl and don't like to cook on trips). We checked in late, and still got the warm cookies. The room was clean as was the hotel (minus the elevator floor, which seemed to be sticky, and the staff had to be prompted to take out the communal trash because nearly everyone was getting takeout). They required masks in the building, and most everyone (there was one apologetic looking lady on the elevator without one once) abided by the rules. It was so empty that often we walked in and out without seeing anyone, actually. There is a lovely courtyard with covered and uncovered tables, so it was perfect for getting food delivered since I am not a fan of TGI Friday's, which is attached to the hotel and open at limited capacity. The pool/hot tub had a limit of 15 people and it looked like everyone was following that rule, but the gym wasn't open yet (although why were the lights on). The housekeepers didn't come into the room at all, so we had to (gasp) make our own beds and be tidy, but they offered us fresh towels and toiletries in the hallway. Having an initially clean room is important to me, and it was--I even felt like the bathtub was clean enough for the kids. The entrance to the Biltmore is really close. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
