Fake News with False Advertising

Sep 9th, 2020

As a Hilton Diamond member, I never thought a day will come when I have to rate a Hilton property 1 star. Well here it is. Diamond members price loyalty and make it a point to stay Hilton even if will be a bit more expensive. It will be nice if this hotel reciprocates. Website doesn't mention the renovation. The parking lot looked like a big disaster zone with yellow tape and police style traffic delineators strewn all over the place. As the lobby entrance was close the alternate side entrance takes you to a maze of blocked off doors, walled of areas, and 'do not enter' signs. Needs to try harder. Front lawn needed some grounds keeping attention. Weeds are getting high. There was a tree stump that needed to be removed...and this is not a new just cut stump. The Shuttle Van with the trademark cookie was damaged from a fender fender and highly visible scratches. The shuttle is your mobile advertisement. Make it look presentable. Using COVID as an excuse to under deliver service. No greeting as a Diamond member. No offer of its trademark cookie. Staff seemed demoralized. Other Hilton properties are able to provide a 'grab bag' for breakfast. Hilton Garden Inn does it. Hampton Inn also has grab bags. Hilton LB provided. But due to COVID this one has nothing. Others do it, this one found an excuse. This is completely UNSATISFACTORY. Paying full price for half of what you get is not acceptable. You will still get charge the same premium price. There are other hotels in the same street corner with better instagrammable views. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Doesn't really take COVID seriously

Sep 7th, 2020

I was a little hesitant to go to a hotel right now during the pandemic, but looking at the website I saw that this property initially looked like it was taking it seriously. Unfortunately, the website claims did not match my experience. Upon checking in, I was informed that housekeeping would not be coming by during my stay, which I expected and completely makes sense. The person that checked me in said I could just call the front desk for anything we needed and they would bring it to us. The room was clean and pretty much what we expected. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot any time of the day. When it came time to get a few towels since we were staying multiple nights, it was much harder than expected. We contacted the front desk 3 separate times and asked for 2 more towels. Each time, we got an excuse that all of them were wet or none were available. We never did get any more towels, so pro tip, expect to reuse your towels over and over again while staying here. Another minor annoyance is that our room had very little toilet paper which required us to ask for more which was kind of embarrassing. Could they just add a spare roll in the room when they see that less than 10% remains of the current roll? I also noticed that many people indoors did not wear masks which unfortunately is expected given the varying degrees that people take this pandemic seriously. What I was more concerned about is that several housekeeping employees were not wearing masks and didn't seem to care. Yes, they were friendly and said hi, but I thought there was this policy that everyone has to wear masks inside? I understand, wearing masks is no fun, especially if you're working. However, if the employees aren't wearing masks, how would you expect customers to wear them? The pool was also another area that was interesting. There are signs everywhere that if you want to swim, you need to call the front desk and make a reservation. I called and the person said it wasn't really working and that if we wanted to swim, to call the front desk and they would let us in. So we called when we were ready and surprise, we needed to wait until the next 'shift'. We met with the front desk person and they proceeded to ask everyone in the pool area what room they were in and that they needed to rotate out. Surprisingly, no one left and people were there all day. I get it, it's hot outside and swimming by the pool is nice, but could we take turns during the pandemic? Overall, the hotel was ok, but I wouldn't go back and instead stay somewhere that takes the pandemic seriously. If you're in a high risk group, do not stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unhappy

Sep 7th, 2020

This place has no respect for it's guests. There were no reservations for the pool and we were removed after a short 15 minutes in the water. I had only gotten the room for the night to "getaway". There was no rest! Horrible customer service! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Undergoing renovation- no cookies!

Jun 22nd, 2020

The main entry is under renovation and some rooms are done. Good linens, towels and bed. Fast Wi-fi, coffeemaker and mini-fridge. Near Costco, restaurants and strip mall shopping. Marriott brands also nearby. Good for an overnight stop on a road trip. Only downside? No cookies due to the virus! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean and comfortable!

We loved the location initially, but the great staff and very comfortable room ensured we will stay here again the next time we come to town. We were very pleased with the hotel, and we appreciated the wonderful service! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
