One of the worst stays I've ever had!

Aug 28th, 2020

An awful experience overall! We chose this hotel because their website claims they have shuttle service and an outdoor pool. There is NO shuttle service and hasn't been for years according to the front desk associates (Harley and Cass). The pool hours were posted incorrectly and differently on the website and in room information card. Apparently you now require a reservation to use it and it closes very early/ opens late. Beyond that the WiFi did not work and froze our phones when we tried to connect. The public hand sanitizers were empty, not ideal for a pandemic. Also, when I addressed my concerns to the front desk associates, mentioned earlier, they were beyond rude. I have stayed at many Hilton hotels before and have never been so dissatisfied. I will absolutely not be coming back and recommend you do not stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quick stay

Jul 9th, 2020

We stayed here last minute. Had to fly out following morning. Hotel was nice! Wasn’t a huge fan of location but I was only there to fly out next morning! Rooms were big and clean, pool was nice! I would def stay here again. Also, Bethany and Andrew (I hope that was his name) were AMAZING! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Volleyball tourney stay

First thing I want to say is that I would never choose to stay at this property nor will I stay here if I visit Denver on vacation. It's a very mixed bag and I'm surprised at the high ratings buy YMMV depending on your priorities. Our group was assigned to this hotel for the Colorado Crossroad Tourney in Denver. We didn't have a choice and had to stay here. Here's the great, the bad and the ugly. The great: The staff was welcoming, friendly and responsive. Housekeeping did their job very well and the rooms were clean. Loved their signature Doubletree cookies, had a great bar & grill and a Starbucks. Also had a perfect little sundry shop. The food at the grill was excellent with great choices, salmon with faro, Rib eye, mac & cheese, etc. Very good! Lobby area is newer than the rest of the hotel, so that was a nice place to hang out. Ample free parking. The bad: the hotel itself is aesthetically unpleasing. Looks like a converted warehouse or office building. My daughter said it reminded her of the lab in Stranger Things lol. Noisy outside as well as inside with thin walls. Beds are smaller than standard, probably because rooms are small (due to aging building I assume). Not enough foam pillows to go around. I have feather allergies. When I requested a foam pillow I was told they were out. Had to sleep on my jacket that night. Was able to snag my pillow the next day. Also, the beds are on the softer side. Not good for myself with bad back, but may be ok for others. Also, there is another Doubletree just down the street which is nicer and newer. Unfortunately we went there first by mistake, and the differenes between these two properties is stark. The ugly: Very noisy area. Very industrial. Train horn. Situated *right next to powerlines* I mean a bunch of powerlines. Overall it wasn't horrible but it wasn't where I would choose to stay. Since we had to double up on the bed, getting a good night sleep was tough. Also, the thermostat kept resetting to 74F which was way too warm. I would only recommend this place if you are on a budget. For women traveling alone or with children, this place felt safe. Roughly about 25 minutes from the Convention Center in Denver, or downtown. Denver Trip

Hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. Rooms were very clean, even though the facility was older. About 20 minutes from downtown and about 30 minutes from the airport. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Older hotel but well Maintained

Booked this hotel because I had a conference there. Very nice lobby bar and resturant area, Large hotel . Off the elevator we had two sides of the hotel to walk by before getting to our room. Room was clean and comfortable. However after I went to my meeting, my wife was relaxing with the do not disturb sign out. The maid nocked on the door anyway. This was way before checkout. Meeting room were large and worked well with our group. No breakfast included but that is not to be expected with this brand of Hilton. Just think 25 years ago a large metro airport was this hotels neighbor. Now many homes and shops. if iwas to stay here again I would request a room on the north side towards the back. Quebec is busy on the front and Rail goes south of hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
