I don’t recommend at all is very poor customer service plus don’t answer the phone or answer w very bad actitud o well I have to many choices to stay for the price I found something much better I don’t get the people work there they don’t like the job why work there TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pros: front desk staff is nice, bed is comfortable, cookies are warm Cons: Hotel is in dire need of updating. I get the retro decor but it was worse than that. Things have been patch repaired. Only 1 elevator working. Our comforter was dingy white. Mold in the shower. Hotel is across the street from the beach even though pictures make it look like it’s directly on beach. Not up to Hilton standards. Would not recommend TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

For the price I expected much more. It was clean and generally in good repair, but rooms were not all that impressive. The balcony rooms have nice view of the pool and the gulf, but the balcony is tiny. My knees were against the railing sitting in the little uncomfortable chair they provide. The bed was okay, but not amazing. I was very unhappy when sprung a $12 per day parking fee on us when we arrived. We also saw a couple of roaches in the room. At least they did not give me a hard time about cancelling my second night. I just did not feel it was worth what they charge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Good but needs improvement

So 1st time staying at the DoubleTree and I have mixed reviews. 1st let me say the staff at check-in was awesome and very friendly. The check-in process went smooth and quick. There's only 1 working elevator the other has been out for months waiting on parts so you'll have to deal with that. The room was nice and colorful but could definitely use some updating. The carpet is dingy especially in the 1 only working elevator and various rust and stain spots in different parts of the room. I know since you're so close to the beach 🏖️ this is probably normal. The Balcony view is great and on a side note don't go for the extra upcharge for the beach view they all have great beach views. The Pool Is not and let me repeat IS NOT HEATED so that's a bummer but otherwise it's ok the Loangboard bar was ok kinda small inside and watered down drinks of course. They have an outside seating are which is really nice with a firepit. The location is really good so your not overly populated with the busy side of the beach but on more of the relaxed side. On a final note the DoubleTree 🍪 cookie's are to die for and it's a must try. I will definitely return to this place again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Customer service is lacking

I won’t be booking with this hotel anymore.Everyone was right, the front desk is lacking in friendliness and has poor professional customer service.Check in is at 4pm and unless you pay their “upgrade” to check in early they make everyone stand around the lobby and wait until exactly 4pm ,even though the rooms are ready.Exposing everyone even more unnecessarily during covid. The blinds in the room were broken so I couldn’t even open the blinds to see the view of the ocean from my room.Not to mention the fast food orange color that the rooms are decorated with.Not a homey or relaxing feel to it. This hotel is only 5 years old or so ,disappointing how fast it’s went downhill since we last stayed here. I’m a loyal Hilton guest and everything was subpar to what I’m used to from them.
